About Me
Friendly, fun, outgoing and child centred nanny/babysitter. I have recently completed a social work degree with second class honours and am seeking to build my knowledge ad experience working with children whilst on a gap from social work practice. I have not yet worked for a local authority as a registered social worker since finishing University but I am a registered social worker through Social Work England.
Currently due to the challenging nature social work practice; I am exploring other avenues whereby I can utilise my knowledge and skills from social work with working with children, such as through avenues like nannying, or working as a teaching assistant. I have a Level One qualification in British Sign Language and early communication is something I am very passionate about.
I am a non driver but am completing lessons and have my driving test booked for early 2025.
My Experience
I have previously worked as a live in Au Pair for a family in South West London I did this for 3 months over the summer holidays in 2015. The boys were 9 and 11. I was responsible for taking them to and from school, their laundry, tidying their bedrooms, assisting with homework and school projects, organising play dates and activities as well as taking them to and from after school activities. During the summer holidays I organised fun days out to the zoo, the park, trampolining, museums as well as indoor activities such as cooking and baking and arts and crafts.
I am a friendly, outgoing and kind natured person and I love working with children. I am passionate about providing fun, quality care. Having grown up in Cornwall as a child I love the outdoors and keeping fit with sports such as running, road cycling, yoga and I have skiied since I was 3. My involvement with running church holiday clubs for children aged 4-11 has given me the skills of fun activities for rainy days too!
My social work degree qualification has enabled me to be highly informed on safeguarding children and through recent work as a teaching assistant I am up to date on relevant legally required safeguarding training.

I have a 2:1 degree in Social Work Practice. GCSE's and A levels.
My Availability
I am available Monday - Friday and can provide babysitting services as arranged with clients.
