About Me
Hello, my name is Kelly
I am a fully qualified and OFSTED registered childminder,I also hold a qualification in paediatric first aid, child nutrition as well as being a child fitness instructor, baby massage practitioner and baby yoga practitioner.
I work with an assistant called Cassie who has a high-level qualifications and experience in childcare, who is also paediatric 1st Aid trained, DBS checked and safeguarding trained.
I live with my husband David and 3 of our children, Hannah 25yrs old, William 13yrs old and Alice 10yrs old. We have 2 mini Dauchaunds called Lilly and loki who are a huge part of our family and are loved by all the children who come to the setting.
We live in a detached house in Hattersley with lots of outdoor space and very local to many walks and parks.
My setting is organised and set out to meet needs of all ages, we will always be having fun learning, developing and importantly making friends.
children in my setting get to experience the outdoors every day, we have an excellent outdoor space at the setting but we also visit parks and local valleys and woods. During the colder months or wet weather days we will attend local playgroups, visit library sessions and play centres.
Family is important to me and anyone who comes to visit is always made to feel welcome and at home.
As a family we enjoy our camping trips as we love to spend time outside.
I am very passionate about our children’s development, wellbeing, health and safety.
I feel that it's important that every child gets the best possible start in life, therefore I will use my skills and knowledge to help achieve this. Being a mum of 4, I am able to understand that there are different needs, wants, and expectations for our children. It can also be worrying and stressful when it comes to finding the right care to meet your needs.
My aim is to provide you a service where you can go to work stress and worry free, knowing you and your children’s needs are met.
My Experience
I am a mum of 4 children whos ages range from 5 years to 20 years of age. I am aware of the challenges that come with being a parent and feel that with 20 years experience of being a parent, it has helped me to gain knowledge and experience of how to manage these challenges alongside with the information gained from my training.
During my time as a childminder I have found that children love to be outdoors, no matter the weather, therefore I have changed my setting has become more outdoor based and to meet the children's needs. with have a fully heated and electrical play house which we use in bad weather, its also somewhere the children can rest. We also change part of the summer every month in to a role play setting such as a vet surgery or supermarket, which the children look forward to, we have a polly tunnel which we use for messy play no matter the weather which also provides shelter if we get rain.
I am an affiliate member of my child's school PTA, I work closely with the school and children during events and activities that take place outside of the school hours. Parents leave children in the care of the PTA during the time of the activity and collect them later that evening.
I have built a relationship with the head,teachers and parents of our local school Discovery Academy. lots of the children who attend the school know me and feel comfortable to come and say hello or join us for outdoor meetings in parks. All the children in my care know I am a caring and trusting person who is also fair and shows by example using good manners and behaviours.

I am available from 7.30am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday. I can be Flexible if required either side of these hours at an extra fee.

Both my two young children attend Go2Grow and it is simply amazing. Kelly and Cassie are fantastic at what they do, we wouldn’t take our babies anywhere else. Knowing my babies are safe, happy and well cared for eases the guilt of having to go back to work.

Kelly looked after my little girl who really struggled to settle into a private nursery. She suffered with separation anxiety which made it difficult to return to work. After endless months of crying going to nursery, I decided to try a childminder. Kelly was caring and took the time to understand what my little girl needed. She never cried once going to Kelly, she settled instantly. My little girl was happy which made me happy. Kelly takes the children on amazing trips out, her activities are engaging and educational but so much fun. She really helped my daughter get ready for school and she gained so much confidence. Even now she still visits Kelly during the holidays and loves every minute. Her setting is amazing, clean and fun and I would recommend Kelly to anyone looking for childcare.

My daughter is 3 and a half years old, I could have chosen to send her to school but instead of that I have chosen Kelly.
My daughter is so happy with her and she has learned a lot things with her like numbers, letters, songs and the most important thing for me to speak in English. So now I feel confident enough to send her to school in September.

Our daughter has been with Kelly now for 2 and a half years and will continue to do so for years to come.
The home away from home setting Kelly provides is just what we wanted and it also made returning to work easier.
Our daughter has come on leaps and bounds since being in Kelly's care.

Our son has been with Go2Grow for 3 years and we have been incredibly happy with the care he has received.
Kelly has played a crucial part in George’s life. 10 hours a day, 3 days a week for a child is no mean feat yet he still gets excited about going ... in fact when I tell him it’s my turn to do the school run, he’s disappointed!
Kelly has not only provided him with a safe and welcoming home environment, he has also gained the benefit of the educational activities which has given him a head start at pre-school.
As a parent you have to have complete faith that your child is being well looked after and that they feel secure when you have to leave them and I can safely say that Kelly has given me the freedom and peace of mind to go to work knowing that he is very happy and comfortable in her care.
To pick up a happy child at the end of a working day brings a big smile to my face therefore I would highly recommend Go2Grow for your childcare needs as I wouldn’t have had it any other way!
