About Me
I can offer KS2/3/4 tutoring in English, Maths and Science. My specialism is Biology but I have experience teaching all above subjects at ages 2-16 years old. I am also a fully qualified teacher of children with specific learning difficulties and I can offer specialist spelling/phonics/reading/literacy/Maths programs to children of all ages. I am fully DRB/CRB checked and can provide a current and valid document to all parents for your complete peace of mind.
My Experience
I am a fully qualified teacher with over 25 years experience of working within state and private education. I trained as a Science teacher with specialism in Biology and have over 15 years experience teaching mainstream and special needs classes in state schools. I achieved a Diploma in Specific Learning Difficulties 10 years ago and have worked as a Learning Support Teacher in both state and private schools. I am currently in between Learning Support roles as I have just moved to Oxfordshire! My specialism is supporting students working towards their GCSEs in Maths, Science and English, but love to work with younger students also.
My Qualifications
Bsc Applied Biology/Management Studies at The University of Leeds.
PCGE Biology and Balanced Science at Kings College, London.
Diploma in Specific Learning Difficulties at Fairley House School for Dyslexics, London.
