My Summary
About Me
Hello!!
My name is Jennifer and I am a 35 year old, Fully Qualified Nanny. I have a Level 3 BTEC Early years childcare Qualification, which I completed back in 2008. I also have my DBS and updated First Aid. I have Nannied and Babysat for over 18+ years & have several sets of Multiples (Twins) experience. I was previously trained within the Ambulance Service as a 999 Emergency Call Taker and Ambulance Care Assistant.
I returned to Nannying as I wanted to continue building upon my previous experience, skills and passion of caring for/ looking after children and helping/ seeing them develop with all of their unique personalities & boundless energy.
I have undertaken countless amounts of Nannying & Babysitting roles for many families for many years and continue to do so as and when required (have done so for approximately 18+ years). I currently have 10+ families that I continue to babysit for in my spare time etc on top of my FT Nannying role. I have looked after children from Newborn upwards, including night nannying for newborn twins. Jobs included creating a range of fun activities for the children to participate in, preparing meals, ensuring household tasks were completed, ensuring a safe environment was obtained at all times.
I have also done proxy parenting for several families whilst the parents have been away for work, holiday etc.
Generally, I am a young, loving and caring person. I have many hobbies which include, sports, photography, baking, seeing friends & family, shopping (when time) and lots more. I am very keen on cooking healthy, balanced meals from scratch when possible. I am a fun, reliable and easy going person with a can-do approach. If a friend had to describe me in 3 words I think they would be caring, thoughtful & loving. I am very understanding and would be more than capable of taking care of the babies in a loving and respectful manner.
I am always very flexible for my employers. If they want me to do overtime/ help out at the last minute I am always very accomodating and I am use to working hard and long, various hours.
If you are interested in finding out anymore, please message me and I will get back to you ASAP.
I look forward to hearing from you very soon!!!
Thank you
Jennifer x
My Experience
* My availability is currently a full time TEMPORARY position until end Nov/ beginning Dec. Also, ad hoc babysitting over the weekends & weekday evenings, as well as ad hoc proxy parenting and night nannying (around work commitments).
I am not available for before and after school work. Sorry.
> I am currently working in a position looking after 5 children from aged: 6 months, 1 years, 11, 12 & 14.
I have looked after them regularly on an ad hoc basis for the past 4.5 years (The 2 youngest from newborn), which has included a lot of proxy parenting whilst the parents have been abroad etc.
This position started permanently from October 2021. This is to end mid July 2024 due to the youngest starting FT pre school. I’ll be looking for a position from August/ September 2024 - end of November/ beginning of December 2024 at the latest.
> I was working on a permanent 1 year contract with a family that I have worked for on an ad hoc basis previously for 4+ years. I was looking after a 7 month old boy (until 18 months) & 3 year old girl (until 4.5).
This position started at the beginning of October 2020 until October 2021.
I continue to babysit & look after this family on an ad hoc basis.
> I finished working in a permanent sole charge position, looking after Twin boys aged 2.5 (from 8 months) and a 5 year old girl (from 3 years) in Wargrave, Berkshire.
After 2 years, This role sadly ended in August/ September 2020, due to the boys commencing nursery in September.
I am continuing to look after this family on an ad hoc basis & evening babysits.
> I did some temporary night nannying for 6 week out baby twin girls - feeding them, sterilising bottles, changing them etc. (Aug 2019)
> Prior to this , I was working for a lovely family in Beaconsfield. This position was with 2 children. A newborn baby Girl (from 1 week old) & a 1 year old Girl.
I took care of all of aspects of the children’s care - feeding, cooking, activities, keeping them entertained etc as well as looking after the large house.
Sadly, their personal circumstances unfortunately changed, and no longer required a Nanny
> I was working with a family in Oxford with 3 children. I am looking after a 6 week old Girl, 1 year old Boy & 5 year old Boy. I am doing this until I find a lovely family to join on a permanent FT basis.
> I have just previously finished working with a lovely family with a baby. This was a temporary position until the mum took redundancy within her job.
> Prior to this I was working for a family with 3 children.
The children at the start of the position were G6 months, G2 & G5 years based in Farnham Royal. This was a Full Time, live in, sole charge role with some proxy parenting when the parents were away some weekends, either with work or weddings etc.
It involved long hours, extra babysitting in the evenings and overtime, often at very short notice involving a lot of flexibility.
Its had me going away with them at times too.
The role had me getting all 3 children up in the mornings, giving them breakfast, sterilising baby bottles & making milk for the baby. I completed the school runs which was quite a distance away (50 miles a day), nursery runs as well as all sorts of fun & exciting activities with all 3 children, keeping them entertained. If need be I also ran errands, getting bits of shopping in too.
I cooked for all 3 girls & did their laundry etc. I bathed the children and put them to bed every evening.
This role is sadly came to an end due to a financial situation with the family.
> I had another last minute call through for a role to look after 4 children as the Mum had fallen unwell & required urgent treatment in hospital. This was a sole charge role, working all sorts of hours ranging from 9-13 hours daily with varying start/ finish times due to the Dads job role and dependant on mums health day to day. This requires a lot of flexibility as times would change regularly and very last minute.
This role involved me keeping the household together, doing homework with the children, keeping them entertained, cooking, general household chores and washing, taking the children to after school activities such as swimming, trampolining etc.
The 4 children's ages were B6, G9, B12 & G14 and based in Caversham. The role was originally only suppose to be for 3 weeks over Christmas, but they asked me to stay longer due to the mum needing further treatments. The position ended up lasting 5 months which is when I left to start the new Full Time permanent position.
> I was working with a family with a 2 year old girl & 5 year old boy in Marlow. The mother was in the very late stages of her pregnancy, expecting Twins. She needed help with her children, school/ nursery runs, entertaining the children, cooking, bath & bed time etc.
> I finished nannying Full Time, sole charge for a lovely family in Twyford, looking after 3 children. A set of Twin Girls, aged 2 (from 1 year old) and a 7 year old Girl(from 6 years old). This involved me taking the 7 year old to and from school every day, and then organising and entertaining play dates, after school activities etc.
With the Twins, I took them to activity groups, took them to the park, gymnastics classes, created stimulating activities at home, such as arts and crafts, baking as well as play dates etc.
I made the children their meals daily and enjoy giving them both balanced & nutritious meals.
Sometimes, depending on whether the parents were running late home or not, I gave the children their bath and sometimes put them to bed.
This role also required me to wash the children's clothing, as well as a degree of housekeeping (ensuring toys are kept tidy) as well as the rest of the house. This role unfortunately ended due to the family moving & relocating to America.
> I Nannied for a little girl Full Time on a Temporary basis from the age of 8 months old, whilst the mum was pregnant with her 2nd baby and unwell with it. I took her out on day trips, helped with housekeeping etc. This then ended when the family moved back to Ireland to live.
> I Nannied for 1 boy from the age of 8 months old up until the child's mother had a 2nd baby and went on maternity leave. I did this one day a week alongside another role. I provided care, games, activities and meals for the child. Went out on day trips etc whilst ensuring it was stimulating and fun at the same time.
I continue to look after the little boy now on an ad-hoc basis as and when required, alongside his little sister (7 & 5 years old)
I have also completed a 2 year placement in a nursery throughout my early years course.
My Qualifications
I have got an A-level Btec National in Early Years Level 3 which I completed back in 2008. Also, I have recieved my CSLA award (Community sports leadership award) this involved me coaching children in different sporting activities. I have a first aid at work certificate. I am also events first aid trained. I have also had medical/ further advanced first aid training with the ambulance service
