My name is Amie and I am an Ofsted registered childminder, I live with my husband who is DBS checked, our two girls who were born in 2018 and 2021 and our friendly black Labrador.
I understand how difficult it is for parents to leave their child with a childminder and return to work. I will work with you to ensure your child settles in quickly and that you are happy with the care that I provide. I live in a quiet area with easy access to local parks, toddler groups and nature walks. I aim to provide a stimulating environment and strongly believe that children learn best through play and exploring the world around them. All children have access to a variety of fun, age appropriate toys and activities that they are able to access themselves along with having the opportunity to engage in planned activities such as messy play and outings.
I follow the early years foundation stage to track your child's development and will work closely with you the parent to ensure all your child's needs are met. I use Babys days; this is an online portal used to liaise with parents and log all information about your child. On the app you are able to access all aspects of your child's journey with me, including daily diaries, photos and learning journey.
My Experience
I have 17 years childcare experience working with children from 3 months up to 11 years, and now have new born experience from having my own child in March 2018.
I have gained my experience from working in early years settings and have spent a lot of time working with babies and toddlers.

We have absolutely loved sending our little boy to Amie. This is the first time we have used a childminder and we couldn’t be happier! Our son settled in so well to her nurturing and homely environment. Amie takes the children on lovely trips to the zoo, farm, softplay, play groups and they learn so much about the world and socially in her care. Amie uses an app so we can keep up to date with photos and messages about what our son has been up to which is great. Our son also has glue ear and Amie has been so helpful and understanding in supporting him :) We will all miss Amie so much and couldn’t recommend her more!

Amie is absolutely fantastic. She is very kind and caring. Her home from home environment was perfect and nurturing for our Son. Amie provided lots of activities and days out to keep him busy. Amie also provided lots of nutritious foods which our son loved! Would really recommend if you’re looking for a childminder we never had a worry when our son was in Amie’s care.

Amie made the entire transition from home to first child minder so easy. She was informative and worked with me to ensure my sons routines where adhered to as much as possible. My son enjoyed himself thoroughly during his time with Amie. Amie had a great input into assisting also with potty training and kept me up to date with day to day goings on via a app which was amazing! Highly recommend Amie if you are wanting to take the leap back into work and feel unsure of how to go about doing this!
