About Me
Hi, I'm Helen, an Ofsted registered, Tax-Free childminder. I also offer government-funded places for children aged 9 months+ - 4 years who qualify for 15 or 30 hours of free childcare. I offer a warm, nurturing, relaxed childcare environment for children starting from 9 months old. I also offer before and after school childminding services from Holland Haven School.
I follow the EYFS and help and support children with their learning and development, providing opportunities within a home from home environment and on outings to the beach; park; playgroups; soft play and more.

My Experience
I have worked with children for 20years+ starting as a youth worker and a special needs teaching assistant. Later, moving on to working in nursery and pre-school settings. I decided to extend my knowledge and registered as a childminder in December 2021 after my son was born.

When I had to go back to work I felt very anxious and finding the right child care was new and scary for me. Helen has been an absolutely amazing childminder and made me feel confident that my child is well looked after. She has an amazing background working with children and a lovely home environment. Helen always listens to everything when explaining about my child and is very efficient in every way. She is very proactive with assisting my child in developing key skills. I get regular updates throughout the day including pictures and videos of the activities they have done. Helen takes all the kids on daily outings, whether that is to the local park, beach, petting zoo's, or sing along group, and many more. I feel so lucky to have found Helen, I couldn't ask for a better childminder.

Helen is absolutely amazing with my twin girls. I was so anxious about leaving them when I returned to work and Helen made this transition so much easier. She is amazing with the girls and provides them with lots of sensory activities some of which they have never explored at home. We have a learning journal which documents what they have done and how they are developing which is so lovely. We also have a communication book as-well as the use of email and WhatsApp to keep us updated. I get provided with some pictures throughout the day which is so reassuring and the girls love going.
When I met Helen her experience of childcare was extensive and evident from the amount of detail that goes into when planning to mind the girls. I felt reassured that there are policies in place and how well set out the space is for the children within her home. I honestly would highly recommend her and am so glad that we have found her.
