My Summary
About Me
Dear Families, thank you for taking the time to look at my profile.
I’m looking for a full time position (will consider part-time) as a nanny, starting in March 2025 at the earliest, when my current contract ends.
I'm an experienced nanny, a hardworking, caring, patient and energetic person; loving, engaging and fun with children. I have good intuition and communication skills.
My background:
I attended art school for 5 years, my native language is Italian and I am fluent in English. I moved to Edinburgh in 2018 and I’m familiar with different areas of the city I have Indefinite Leave to Remain in the UK (ILR) and I’m applying to naturalise to British citizenship in the next year.
My interests:
I try to have a healthy life-style, a natural and eco-friendly living, I grow some veggies in my garden and love to spend time in nature. I like to draw, and painting with watercolours, making crafty things, cooking & baking, taking long walks, swimming, ceilidhs, history, cats (and dogs!). And pretty much any other animal, I love making bird feeders to have songbirds visit my windowsill. I’m currently learning British Sign Language.
Why I decided to become a nanny:
Over the past decade I have been looking after many lovely children, starting a very young age by playing a supporting role for my parents when my youngest sister was born, twelve years my junior.
Since she was a baby and then while she was growing up, I’ve helped managing her bedtime routine, bath time and changing, playing games, cooking meals and helping with homework. From this experience I developed an interest in childcare and it’s what put me on this path.
My Experience
I have good initiative and create a caring and stimulating environment for the children, this can involve playing games: building very tall lego towers is a skill I’ve been perfecting, as is blankets forts!
Doing arts and crafts, baking, dancing, and playing outdoors, as well as reading and supervise homework, and generally any agreed activities.
I teach baby sign language, as seen in Sing and Sign.
This is the use of manual signing allowing infants and toddlers to communicate emotions, desires, and objects prior to spoken language development.
About the workplace:
I'm open to do light housekeeping chores, and especially keen on cooking meals.
I'm have no problem handling food intolerances and disabilities.
I'm comfortable working in a household with pets: I’m a very committed cat person, but all animals welcome. I'm a non-smoker.
I have experience with children various ages:
Catrin and Emmy - I’m currently looking after these lovely 2 y/o twin sisters, since January 2023 and until January 2025, when the family will move away from Edinburgh. I’m responsible for their meals, daytime activities, naps & outdoors exploring. We travel on public transport all order the city, zoo, museums, parks and soft play are some of their favourites places. Occasionally I will stay overtime and manage bath time, dinner and bedtime routine. One morning a week, with one of their parents, we bring them for swimming lessons.
Taka - I looked after Taka from September 2021 to January 2023, starting when he was 15 months.
He’s an enthusiastic walker, and together we’ve explored all around Edinburgh. Among our favourite outdoor activities there’s visits to the Zoo, Botanics, Gorgie City Farm.
Trips to the Museum, swimming pool, softplay, and toddlers activity groups are often the choice on rainy days, and not forgetting cooking.
Taka is a competent sous-chef, particularly talented in squishing pizza dough and sampling ingredients.
In April 2022 his parents attended an event abroad and I looked after Taka around the clock for a week while they were away. It meant a lot to me to be entrusted so completely with their little one, and it was a truly enriching experience.
Connie - I started when she was 16 months in August 2020 and stayed on until late summer 2021, when her mum went on maternity leave for the arrival of her second baby!
Outdoors activities would take up a lot of our time. We’d play in the garden, where she loves chasing around the family dog and pick up small rocks that inevitably would end up being entrusted to me…
We’d look for frogs and snails, collect leaves to draw their shape, play with the sandpit, plant sunflower seeds.
Among the most important indoors activities is making blankets dens, reading her favourite books, playing tea party with Winnie the Pooh &Co and of course The Tiger Who Came to Tea would often join in as well.
Some of my duties included preparing and supervising her lunch, as we transitioned from being spoon fed to self feeding, with increased confidence. Nap time would follow during which I’d take on some house chores and prep dinner.
Connie was born with hip dysplasia, and at the start of 2021 spent some weeks in a cast to recover from surgery.
During this time I learned to adapt to challenging new routines, but before I knew it Connie was back on her feet and running faster than ever.
Susie and Becky - 3.5 years old and 6 months old (August 2021- ongoing)
Playtime with Susie, who loves keepy-uppy, building things, and playing pretend/make-believe.
Bringing Becky out for her morning nap in the buggy.
+ Evening babysitting

Evan, Zac & Annabeth - 9, 8 and 5 y/o

Evie and Hal - I looked after these two rascals for two years, starting in October 2018 when they were 4 and 7 years old, to early autumn 2020, when they moved abroad, taking away a piece of my heart.
Daytime, afternoon and evening babysitting, including dropping-off/picking-up from school and nursery, playing games, baking, making fun and creative crafts, reading, bath, dinner & bedtime routine, trips outside (park, cycling, city centre, local library) supervise activities outside the house (swimming, tennis).

Anna is a wonderful nanny for our one year old twin daughters. We were finding it difficult to get childcare, but Anna blew us away with how good she is with the girls. She does 4 days a week, 9-5, and the girls are really happy with the arrangement. Anna's full of energy, taking the girls out to the park, the library and on the bus, and doing loads of things with them at home like sing and sign - they've both started signing after only a few weeks. Anna also makes delicious food for the girls and us!
Anna came into our lives during the summer holidays of 2021, when I needed help managing the very differing needs of my 6 month old baby and my emotional, lively preschooler. The role was initially as a regular Mother's Help for a couple of hours each day, and Anna's immediate ability to connect with my children (despite the younger having just started experiencing separation anxiety and the elder having always been extremely wary of new people) blew me away and saved my sanity!
For the past year Anna has been helping us with occasional daytime childcare, sometimes on a sole charge basis and sometimes with me around, and also some evening babysitting.
Anna has always been happy to help out with anything we required, be that walking in the rain to get the little one to sleep in the buggy, or babywearing to get her back to sleep during an evening babysitting session. Anna is so dedicated to her role looking after children that she considers it completely normal and expected to do things which I might be a bit nervous about asking other people to do.
She cares deeply for children (&animals!) and has been extremely good with my older daughter who is very sensitive and hasn't always bonded with other caregivers. I have also found Anna very likeable and she is a good communicator, so it has been easy having her around the house when she's helping me look after the children.
All in all, Anna is everything you could ever wish for when handing your children over to a stranger. She's a modern-day Mary Poppins who is experienced and proactive and more often than not she has some exciting thing in her bag to enthrall your kids with! :)
Anna is looking after our 18-month old son for us on on a (almost) full time basis. She is a true professional who takes great pride in her work and I trust her implicitly with him. She is thoughtful, caring, respectful, has great initiative and takes him on lots of fun activities. She's patiently taught him lots of sign language and her dedication is paying off! She's also a fabulous cook and a committed cat-lover and has even succeeded in winning the affections of our somewhat aloof cat Slinky. I couldn't recommend her more highly; she is wonderful.
Anna is fantastic. Anna looked after my 9 month old baby for an evening. It was the first time I’d left him and I’d felt really nervous about doing so before I found Anna. We had a call beforehand and Anna focused on understanding my baby’s routine and preferences. We did some playtime and bath time with Anna before I went out for the evening and Alfie took to her really quickly. The whole experience was great and I enjoyed my evening out knowing my baby was in safe hands.
Anna has looked after our daughter Connie in our home for four days a week since August 2020 when Connie was 16mths old.
During a time of much uncertainty, change and restriction because of the pandemic, Anna has been unfailingly reliable, flexible, positive and a steady presence in our family's life.
Anna has spent much time learning and nurturing Connie's natural interests - e.g. learning baby sign language to support what we had already taught Connie, teaching her about wildlife and the different birds and animals they see in the garden, encouraging her to draw and paint, creating special Spotify playlists for background music while they play and showing huge patience for the endless rounds of tea parties which are set up on our living room carpet.
We would particularly like to mention the sensitive and caring approach Anna took towards Connie's care after she had hip surgery in January. Anna quickly learned the practical skills needed to care for a toddler in a spica cast and then put her mind to coming up with a wonderful variety of activities which ensured that Connie stayed happy and stimulated through what could have been a much more difficult time.
Anna's creativity, imagination and caring nature will be really missed and we would recommend her to any family looking for more than just 'a nanny', but someone who makes the whole family's life that bit easier.
