About Me
Im an extremely experienced childminder , I have been married over 30 years and i have been childminding for over 22 years. I have lived in the area for over 30 years and I registered with Ofsted in early 2003, also in my last inspection in April 2022 I recieved a fantastic good :) with elements of outstanding .
I do drive and currently own a vehicle and a clean licence, and will from time to time use the car to take children out to varied events and days out.
I have two assistants, my daughter whom has worked for me for 10 years, and is extremely knowledgeable with her own qualifications in health and social
Care as well as qualified as a childminder in her own right, she is known as Aunty Becca and then there is my mum , nana Polly who comes in at tea time to cook good wholesome food for tea !
I have extremely close ties with the local school/nursery in great moor, and liase with them regarding children’s development and sharing information and also work inline with the local preschool, we are well
Known there.
Children are given the opportunity to experience lots of various indoor and outdoor play, as well as visiting local childminding and toddler groups, we visit parks, national parks, play areas, tots, aquariums, libraries, farms, zoos, museums and many more.
Children are also encouraged to partake in activities such as craft sessions and creative days, painting and glueing. As well as baking and at present we also partake in the local rhyme time challenge/theatre tots is paid for privately on my Own premises and rhythm time in which children are taught nursery rhymes with the additional teaching of makaton signing, and acting and dancing experiences.
We also have private French lessons in which the children seem to flourish and adore.
We also frequent local music time sessions and due to mixing at our local tots groups and childminding groups the children become very social and build up a lovely freinds base for nursery.

My Experience
Over 20years experience, gaining a level 3 diploma with numerous courses undertaken from first aid, to developing the childrens brain, and firesafety, can be seen below and i have numerous certificates that can be viewed upon a visit.
I am Ofsted registered and also part of the Stockport network accredited team, I have an assistant whom is as dedicated as they come and we are a family unit x
I have passed my level 3 diploma in children and young peoples workforce, and continue to self train on courses
I offer care to children from the age 1 months to the teenage years, and have actually cared for children aged from 2 months to the age of 17 years.
I have also very good
experience in caring for children with additional requirements and am more than happy to continue to do so.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.00 per hour
£35 half day fee (4hours)
£50 day fee (10hours)
£52 per day term time only (no charge in holidays )
I also offer the funded 15 /30 hours per wk funded places and shared care with nursery
£6 before school breakfasts included - fixed fee
£13 after school till 6pm cooked dinner provided

I have recently started my 2.5 yr old boy with aunt mel and can already see th difference in his behaviour ,ie he is more forthcoming with his listening skills.. he is incredibly happy and comfortable there and infact doesnt seem to want to come home!...she does not take her eyes off th children for one second and does lots of educational games ,baking etc...my boy is a very willfull little thing and so mel is exactly what i was looking for ..somebody to show him some social skills and boundaries..and a bit of preping for his preschool in sept..to sumarise,i.am very happy!

My daughter started to go to Mel in January 2012 after a terrible experience with a local nursery. From the first time my 9 month old met Mel I could tell that she was going to settle in really well. Since January she has gone from only sitting up to walking, talking and has developed beyond my expectations. I put this down to the full range of activities
