About Me
Hello, I'm a qualified Primary School Teacher who has taken a break from full time teaching after having my daughter. I love teaching and also love being a hands on Mum, so tutoring is a perfect way of being able to do both! I particularly enjoy working with younger age groups. I like to get to know each individual child and tailor learning so that it is relevant to them. I have a gentle, positive approach to teaching and like to encourage or draw out children's innate learning potential!
My Experience
I have experience working in classes from Nursery to Year 6 and specialise in Early Years and Key Stage 1. I've been working in a school in London for most of my career, teaching mostly Reception and Year 1 before taking a break to have my daughter. Since then I've been covering classes throughtout EYFS, Key Stage 1 and 2.
I have a lot of experience teaching phonics and taking children through the Year 1 Phonics Screening Check. Also keen to work with parents to show them how to support their children in learning phonics.
