I am an enthusiastic, dedicated and fully qualified primary school teacher and nanny who loves working with children. The last 9 years have provided me with many happy experiences and helped develop me into a caring, supportive and encouraging individual.

I enjoy the company of children and love being the person who helps them grow into young individuals. A priority of mine is to create a stimulating and secure environment where children feel special and included. I am very responsible, patient and empathetic but also full of energy and I want to ensure children have as much fun as possible when growing up in my care.

I have been with my current charges; 2 boys (4yr & 9yr) and 1 girl (7yr) for the past 4 years and sadly this position is coming to and end this September as they will all be in full time education. The age of my previous charges have range between 17 months up to 15 years old and I have a wealth of experience teaching children from ages 4-9 in a diverse range of schools. I can confidently take responsibility for children’s well-being and know how to interact, care for and respond to their needs. I am able to develop close relationships with both children and families and believe communication, compassion and understanding has been key to this.

I am able to think of and create meaningful and exciting activities and games to elicit curiosity and help your child's social, cognitive and academic development. Examples would include: walks; trips out; sports games; scientific experiments; cooking tasks; reading and singing activities, art and craft activities; water games; messy play and fine and gross motor activities. I have a thorough understanding of the skills needed for both the early learning and national curriculum and would be extremely confident in helping with homework and creating other tasks to extend your child's learning.

I am vey organised, am able to work to and meet busy schedules and stick to or help implement a family routine. I am able to carry out any domestic and nursery duties around the house and I love animals and so would happily help look after and care for a family pet too. I would happily attend any further training or courses you would wish me to go on. Being outdoors and active is very important to me and I regularly play sport and attend fitness sessions.
