About Me
My name is Sidsel Wood and have currently been a childminder for 20 years. I have 3 children of my own, 2 of which have left home and my third one is moving to Australia for two years in September 2024. I live in a friendly, quiet neighborhood all of which surrounding facilities such as libraries, parks, play groups that I attend to with the children outside of my home. My home is a safe and family friendly place, including a play room that the children play in and do fun activities such as puzzles, games and educational learning. This gives the children the opportunities to learn as well as have fun within these settings. I also have a sproker spaniel dog, which are five years old and very used to children.
My Experience
I have been an Ofsted registered childminder for 20 years. I have been brought up surrounded by a large family living in Norway so have always had the experience with kids since a young age. The last 3 children I childminded stayed with me for 6 years till they just recently moved away to Scotland. I have been looking after children aging from 9 months to 10 years+ so have the proper experience in looking after and caring for all ages.
My Qualifications
I am pediatric First Aid trained, Safeguarding trained, DBS checked and have a certificate in Food and Hygiene, as well as have a childcare insurance.
My Availability
I am a part time, term time only childminder
My hours of work are from 8am to 6pm Monday - Wednesday.

My Fees
- Childminding from £7.50 per hour
I charge day rates for full days and hourly rates for half days. I also do Funding for babies, 2 year olds and 3-4 year olds
My Local Schools
- I provide pick ups at Kilmorie Primary School
