My Summary
About Me
Hello. My name is Caroline. I have gained extensive experience in caring for children during the early years over the past 10 years. My most recent experience was in a mainstream primary school, where I supported the teaching and learning of pupils identified with additional needs as both a 1:1 Teaching Assistant and as an Intervention Specialist. This included children with a diagnosis of autism, attention hyperactivity disorder, dyslexia, global delay and attachment disorder. I am very creative and aim to provide every child with the opportunity to engage in enriching, inspiring and exciting experiences that enable them to be immersed in child initiated exploration, investigation and discovery, I am dedicated to ensuring that every child’s voice is listened to and that their individual talents, interests and future ambitions are nurtured within a caring, enriching and respectful relationship based environment. I am committed towards fostering every pupil’s holistic progression and emotional wellbeing in order to enable them to enter the next phase of their learning journey successfully and to thrive. My personal qualities include my high standards of organisation, communication skills, diligence, initiative and empathetic, patient and nurturing disposition. My strengths include my ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with the children, parents/carers and other members of staff. My key interests include natural resources (‘hygee’/’curiosity approach’), nature based activities including Forest School, daily trips out to local children’s activities, mindfulness and sensory play. I also provide synthetic phonics tutoring to primary aged children alongside other specialist teaching programmes for children who require additional 1:1 teaching support outside of the classroom.
