Hi everyone!
I’m a nanny with my own child, who’s 11months old.
My name is Karolina and I come from Czech Republic. I've been living in the UK since January 2014.
The reason I moved to the UK is that I wanted to improve my English so I started working as an au pair in Hemel Hempstead.
A year later I changed my host family and moved to London. I've been working for this family as a nanny live in for over a year and then I moved out, continuing working for the family as a nanny live out (part time) and took up another part time job in a coffee shop.
In October 2017 I started working as a nanny to two girls (2 & 4 years old). I have been with this family for two years and now my contract is coming to end as the younger girl is about to start school in September.
October 2019-November 2020 looking after 3year old boy, who had a newborn sister in September 2020.
November 2020-December 2020 looking after a 14 month old and 3year old girls. This finished due to lockdown and my pregnancy.
The families that I have been working for described me as a kind and responsible person of a great integrity.
I am a very honest, reliable and organised person.
I love looking after children, spending time with them and seeing them progress and grow!
My Experience
My experience with children started back in Czech Republic, where I used to look after my niece when she was 3 years old.
I also used to babysit children in our neighbourhood since I was 16 years old.
In the UK I started working as an au pair for a single mother with two girls of age 5 and 16.
I was responsible for school run, cooking for the children, helping with homework, playing with children and housekeeping.
I worked for this family for a year.
My next nanny live in/out job required the same tasks, but the job differs as I've been looking after a boy who is 5 years old and a girl who is 7 years old. I can say that they are very very active and busy family.
Now since I'm a live out nanny my main tasks are to collect the children from school on Tuesday and Wednesday, take them to after school activities, cook for them and help them with homework.
Once a week a also do babysitting.
Also twice a year the parents go on holiday by themselves so I take care of the children by myself.
In past two years I’ve been working with 2 years old and 4 years old kids. Through out this past two years I also picked up experience with toddlers and twins ( from 11 months old and above), I had many add hock jobs as I only work only 4 days a week, occasionally I looked after children of two families at time.
I've also met many families that I occasionally babysit for at night.
