About Me
My name is Holly and I live in Woodhatch with my husband and two sons born 2013 and 2017. I have a nice sized garden and plenty of toys! I have worked with children since 2002, ranging from babysitting, nanny jobs and nursery. I gained my NVQ 3 in childcare in 2006 and my CHiP training in 2016. I am also trained in safeguarding and first aid and have an up to date DBS. My last Ofsted inspection was October 2019 and I was very happy to receive a GOOD grading. I love working with children, it is such a rewarding career. I love seeing the children learn, grow and thrive in my care and truly believe in providing a warm, safe, secure and loving environment, this is what is most important to me as a mum and a childminder.
Our days are filled with lots of free play, stories, singing and activities such as messy play, baking, arts and crafts, as well as walks exploring nature, trips to the park, and play groups. Toys and resources are available for the children to self-select, with help from me should they need it. I encourage as much independence as possible.
I try to adhere to each child's individual routines wherever possible so we do not have a rigid daily routine or specific timings for activities, but our day will always include reading, mark making, free play, outdoor time (weather dependant) and activities based on the children's current interests.
Each child has their own daily diary which will be sent home and returned each day with all the information about their day as well as a verbal handover upon collection.
If you decide to choose me as your childminder, your child will receive quality care in the comfort of a home environment.
My Experience
I have worked with children since 2002, from babysitting, nannying to room manager of baby room and pre school in a nursery.
My Qualifications
I have up to date first aid and safeguarding and am qualified NVQ 3 since 2006. I completed my CHiP course in 2016 and am ofsted registered since 2017

My son has been under Holly’s care since he was 8 months old. During lockdown, I had to return to work and was very anxious at the prospect of leaving my son. However, after receiving a recommendation through a friend, I couldn’t be happier that we chose Holly! She is kind, caring, supportive and trustworthy.
Since the day he started, my son has been welcomed into Holly’s family home and has flourished. Holly provided a few settling in sessions which really helped us all ease into a nice routine. She provides thorough feedback every day through a diary, and sends photographs of the day’s activities.
Over the years, Holly has been amazingly supportive of my son’s needs and goes out of her way to make sure he is comfortable. We are sad to be leaving Holly’s setting but with all of the support we have received from her, we know our jump to big school will be that bit easier. Thank you Holly

Our daughter has been in Holly's care since she was around 10 months old (approx 3 years) and we couldn't have wished for a better setting. Holly welcomed her into her group and as part of her family from the first day. She is knowledgeable and supportive at each step of a child's development, dealing with separation anxiety, changes to naps and supporting potty training with care and sensitivity. She provides a wealth of activities within the home supporting development, celebrating different festivals and following the children's interests beautifully. She also ensures that opportunities for social development are provided through playdates and regular play groups. My daughter loves seeing Holly and will often ask to see her in holidays too! She has developed so much confidence as well as progressing with her skills. Holly provides excellent feedback each day and communication is fabulous. We would not hesitate to recommend Holly and our daughter will be sorry to leave her when she goes to school.

Holly has been caring for both my children for almost 2 years and I could not have wished to have found anyone better. From very early on my children were relaxed and happy in her care which is a huge relief when you take that jump to leave your babies with someone else. My youngest has done 3 full days a week and has progressed so well in terms of development and social interactions and that is largely down to Holly and all she's done with her. Be it playgroups or doing different daily activities at her home, there's always something to keep her stimulated and that suits her development. She adores Holly and her family. I love reading the daily log that she provides to show what they've been up to and eaten. My eldest has received after school care and loves the home from home setting that Holly provides.
Holly is friendly, flexible, a good cook according to my children, extremely knowledgeable about children and ever the professional. I can do nothing but sing her prides to anyone that asks.

Our daughter Ella has been going to Holly's now for nearly a year for 2 days a week, she absolutely loves going! Holly provides a great setting with lots to do to keep everyone entertained and happy. Holly is so creative with the activities she does with the kids, its really lovely.
Both myself and my husband have really noticed a change in our daughters confidence and the way she interacts with both children and adults since she has been under Holly's care. Her speech and communication skills are improving every week. Holly provides us with great feedback with a daily diary and also a learning journal that let's us know how she is progressing and developing. It also includes photos of her while she is at Holly's which is lovely to see.
We would more the recommend Holly to anyone, she is an absolute star.

Holly has looked after my little girl since she was 1 year old for 2 years. At an anxious time to leave your child with someone and go back to work, we bit the bullet and it more than paid off with holly!! Not only did I know my daughter was safe, she loved going to Hollys every morning, once she learned to talk...she would ask to go!!! Before that she would run to holly with her arms out. Holly logs everything that is done on a daily basis and a more in death log of child development over time... now my daughter is older we regularly enjoy reading and seeing how she grew and developed over that time!! When we decided to embark on potty training, holly fully supported and encouraged that behaviour!! I could not recommend Holly any higher. She has been a great influence on my daughter and I couldn’t be happier with the skills and love she has shown her. Her passion for this industry makes her a fantastic option to look after your children.
