About Me
I am a married mother of a little girl and 3 boys. I'v lived in Aldershot and surrounding areas for the last 30 years, the last 18 months iv returned to Ash, where I grew up. My daughter is 3 and My boys are aged 13, 12 and 5. The oldest 2 are at Alderwood and Ash Manor respectively. Oliver is going into year 1 at Wellington Community Primary in Aldershot and Imogen will be joining reception shortly. We love spending time with our extended family, swimmimg, farms/zoos and walking being 3 of our favourite pastimes. My husband has just joined our setting as my assistant so we are expanding our setting and looking forward to our new adventure that awaits us as Jen and Marks little Ninjas. We are a home from home setting, but we also enjoy being outside exploring nature aswell as trips to see the ducks, garden centres & Libraries to name just a couple of places we visit.
My Experience
I am a Ofsted rated good childminder. I have my home based childcare qualification as well as a NVQ level 3 equivalent qualification. I have a current DBS as well as a current pediatric first aid certificate. I have 25 years child care experience, mostly in nurseries and children's centers but I have also had a couple of part time nanny positions in the past (school hols etc). I have been a childminder for 8yrs now. I have experience with newborns (professionally not just my own) and up to the age of 10 yrs mostly. Iv also been lucky enough to work with children with speech delays as well as children on the Autism spectrum (this includes one of my own) so have a good level of knowledge around this and the extra needs a child on the spectrum may have. I also have experience with global learning delay, non verbal communication, ADHD, Amputees and other disabilities.
