My name is Adriana, I am 45years old. I was born in Brazil and lived in London for almost 17years, although I have Italian nationality as well. I live with my 26 year-old daughter. I am a kind, caring and responsible person who loves to engage and have fun with children and babies. Trust and loyalty are both things which I stand by, alongside being energetic, quick thinking and taking initiatives.
I am a qualified primary school teacher. I worked many years as a teacher assistant at Kumon Study Centre in my hometown, and I was inspired to become a Kumon instructor myself after seeing the impact Kumon had on the students. I became the Kumon franchise owner for my hometown in February 2004 and ran the Kumon centre for three and half years. During my time as an instructor, I have learned so much and I had the opportunity to work with children of all ages; planning their activities and watching them grow and develop.
As a teacher, I am constantly teaching through play. I am patient, understanding and have a sense of humour with a vast knowledge of the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social development of children. I am aware of the importance of safeguarding children at all times and have a valid Enhanced DBS and Paediatric First Aid certificate. I consider myself healthy and a non-smoker. I have a permanent resident card, EU Settlement scheme and I am also fluent in both English and Portuguese (Brazil).
