About Me

My name is Alyssa and I studied Early Years Education at Bath Spa University, specialising in children aged birth to five years.

Following on from my degree I became a full time nursery practitioner for an outstanding nursery in Canford Cliffs as a senior practitioner looking after 2-5 year old children. My aim was to ensure that they were provided with the perfect enabling environments to stimulate their learning and development. Each child is unique and my eleven years of childcare experience has given me great background knowledge, enabling me to look after every child in the best way possible.

I also have experience working with babies from newborn and nannyed for a wonderful family with a 6 week old baby girl and 1.5year old boy whereby my duties involved caring for the baby, doing household chores, nursery drop off and pick ups, taking the children out on adventures and much more.

I went on to have my own baby who is how 1.5 years old but could offer a helping hand in he evenings if needed. I am the manager of a nursery in Bradford on Avon and work Wednesday - Friday.

I have babysat for a range of different families and have been told from parents that their children think I'm 'the best' and that they can't wait for me to come back and play. I'm used to a short session of playtime before story time and bedtime, or even help with dinner time and bath time (we all know this can be quite challenging when more than one child is involved).

Paediatric first aid trained, up to date DBS and hold a full (and clean) UK driving license for 13 years with my own car.
