About Me
I have a passion for early years, I am deeply invested in being a positive role model with applicable knowledge in caring for children.
My strengths as an effective, caring communicator and listener are valuable skills that I bring to my nannying career.
Outside of work I enjoy taking part in yoga classes, sea swimming and natural movement. I am drawn to the outdoors and nature, spending time on walks on the downs or at the beach.
These interests compliment my work with babies and children - using baby massage, children's yoga and calming exercises and spending time exploring nature at a slow and unhurried pace.
One of my favourite books for inspiration when designing activities for children is 'The joy journal for magical everyday play', which has so many lovely provocations with natural materials.
My Experience
I have been working as a nanny for the last 8 years, providing sole charge and shared care.
I have many years of childcare experience; working in forest nurseries and nannying for children aged from newborn to 10 years old. This includes care for twins from newborn up until 7 years old.
I have an enhanced DBS on the update service, nannying insurance and paediatric first aid.
Over the years my experience has included accompanying families on their holidays and also looking after the children at home while their parents go on their own holiday.
I am confident in supporting parents with establishing and adapting routines for their babies and children, designing stimulating activities at home and taking babies and children out to various classes and activities.
My Qualifications
I am an Emergency First Response and Care for Children Instructor with up to date paediatric first aid. I have a first class degree in Early Childhood Education and Care and continue my learning through podcasts and books about children's learning and development - especially through the outdoors and play.
