My Experience

I have 12 years of experience working with children from 3 months to 6 years. I have many qualification and training in number of different areas. I have worked with children with needs such as autism, challenging behaviours, Down syndrome and speech and language delays.

I have been working in the early years sector for 12 years having begun as an assistant practitioner. I have now progressed through all Early Years hierarchy and managed a nursery. As the manager of the nursery I was responsible for hiring, supporting and training staff while also maintaining a robust understanding of the early year’s curriculum. I have developed my leadership skills over the years having progressed rapidly to a room leader then to assistant manager and subsequently starting a nursery which, i managed .

I have also undertaken my assessor qualifications and have successfully taught level 2/3/5 in childcare for over a year before going on maternity leave to have my own baby. I am now looking to do babysitting in the evening and weekends as a part time work.
