My Experience

Whilst taking and studying my level 3 diploma in Early Years, I was also being employed full time as an early years key worker in a nursery and school setting. During this period having a responsible job I learnt how to prioritize and manage my time effectively, also I had to be disciplined whilst remaining consistent. Throughout was my determination to succeed and achieve my goals for my personal development is what kept me focused. It was during this experience I realised my potential to put my theory into practice and set academic timescales for myself, at the same time as working in an accelerated fast paced environment. During my time as an early year’s educator and teaching assistant I focused on the importance of learning through play and the role of the EYFS curriculum to help children to develop and reach their milestones while promoting school readiness and skills they will use into their adult life.  I was able to have the opportunity to work with a diverse array of children from different backgrounds and cultures; I worked as part of a multi-disciplinary team that included health visitors, SENCO and speech and language therapists and would attend meetings to determine next steps to meet a child’s individual needs. I strove to always maintain a child-centred approach and being attentive to safeguarding issues, health and safety, food safety within the environment.

My Qualifications

I have a A grade Level 3 Early years diploma and a paediatric first aid certificate.

My Availability

I would like part time work preferably 3 full days a week from 8-6

• Babysitting from £12.00 per hour
• Nannying from £14.00 per hour (net)
