I am an OFSTED registered childminder based in Winchmore Hill. My name is Juliet and I live with my partner, 5 year old daughter and my 15 month old boy.
I am a registered childminder and have lots of experience working with young children as a nanny and also as a play worker assistant working with refugee children.
I would describe myself as a warm and bubbly person and as a mother myself it is important for me to provide a loving and nurturing environment for your child.
About the setting - We live in a safe and welcoming ground floor flat offering lots of activities and toys for different age groups. Spread across three rooms and a well kept garden, the flat is beautifully presented and warm, the perfect area for your child to play, rest and develop.
The activities that I provide for the children are aimed to cover the different developmental areas of the Early Years Foundation Stage. Part of the activities include, a daily walk to our local park, messy play and sensory play using a whole range of materials from slimy spaghetti to crackling rice crispies, water play for warmer days and messy paints for mucky days. I also have a wide range of toys and books, from stacking cups and ball pond to a toy kitchen and train set. As I get to know your child, I will tailor the activities and resources to their interests and development needs.
My Experience
April ‘ 21 - present, I have been an Ofsted registered Childminder.
Mar '20 - April ‘21, I was on maternity leave looking after my daughter.
From Sept '17 - Mar '20, I was looking after 3 children in one family that are were 3, 6 and 8 (when I started). My tasks have included everything from picking them up from school to organising playdates, taking them to the drs/dentists, doing homework with them and household tasks for the children.
Before this I was working with refugee children for nearly two years (primary school age); starting as a volunteer and then going on to paid work. Through this experience I have learnt to be extremely understanding and address difficult situations delicately providing comfort and warmth.
My mum is a child minder and so I have grown up around children from 0-5 and she has taught me a lot about babies and young children.

Juliet looked after my daughter from the age of 11 months until she was 2 years old. She was always very gentle and caring and provided a friendly, home-y setting. My daughter was always happy, did a variety of activities and Juliet kept me updated during the day, which was really nice, especially at the beginning. The garden is a great addition and she was good and getting the kids out and about too, to explore the local area. No hesitation recommending Juliet!!!

Our son was with Juliet from the age of 1 and she did everything possible to help him settle in to his new surroundings and made us feel very relaxed and confident he was being well cared for. Our son developed a close bond with her and enjoyed his time in her setting. Juliet took the kids out to the park and cafe's on a regular basis which our son loved, and we saw his confidence and development grow whilst in her care. We received updates and feeback regularly, including lots of photos, and I could not recommend this childminder more, she was amazing! Thank you so much!

My daughter has been attending Juliets for 9 months, she started when she was 10 months old, Juliet has a lovely homely setting and treats all the children like they are her own! My daughter loves it at Juliets and always has a smile on her face when she arrives! Could not recommend any more highly!

My daughter (1.5 years) stayed with Juliet for 2 days a week for just under a year and loved it! She was very well looked after and Juliet treated her as one of her own. Juliet prepares very thoughtful, creative , stimulating and fun activities for the children- very similar to a nursery setting. My daughter also loved going to the park and seeing the ducks. Communication was great throughout the day and I enjoyed the photos. Would highly recommend her.

My kids love Juliet and we love how she treats them like her own. She always has activities organised which are fun, interactive and imaginative. Meals provided are well balanced and home cooked and Juliet always lets me know how they've eaten and has been great in helping manage when they have been through difficult eating phases. She is also great at sending pictures and updates throughout the day, just the right amount of communication. She has always been very flexible which we really appreciate.

I have been sending my son, now 17 months, to Juliet since September. She has really helped us to transition to spending time apart, especially as my son was a lockdown baby, he found it hard to be away from me. Juliet really understood this and sent me regular updates and photos of him playing, so I felt less anxious. She was also really flexible with our needs. My son really loves the intimate nature of her small childminding environment, and quite quickly felt very comfortable. He now loves it there, she understands his character, his likes and dislikes and what keeps him happy. I will keep him with Juliet until he goes to nursery next year. Would really recommend her!

Juliet looked after my daughter for four days a week for two years until she started school. She was kind, caring and my daughter felt totally at ease in her company. I loved the home from home environment she created in her home, and was always so impressed by the wide range of creative activities she did with my daughter. I’d recommend Juliet to any parent looking for a nurturing environment for their child.

I couldn't recommend Juliet more - she is a very kind, selfless and fun childminder. She's a total natural with children and goes above and beyond to look after your child. She currently looks after my 1 year old for one day a week, and he's incredibly happy in her care. She looks after him brilliantly and provides plenty of stimulation to keep him entertained throughout the day. Whenever I pick him up he's a very happy chap and doesn't want to leave!

I manage after school and holiday club at a refugee centre where Juliet volunteered, then worked in paid capacity. Juliet was great; caring, friendly, patient, considerate and respectful to all. At the same time she is fun and engaging. Kids warmed up to her in no time and loved spending time with her. She’s dearly missed even now, after a few years: they still ask about her!
She is well boundaried, trustworthy, honest. Juliet’s great strength is her enthusiasm, her warm, loving personality as well as her genuine interest in others.

Juliet looked after my 3 kids for 2.5 years and they adore her. She has a natural easy way with children and is always concerned about them and what they will enjoy. There was always lots of laughter in the house with Juliet. I recommend her unreservedly.
