About Me
Hello! My name is Jodie and I have fifteen years experience working with children. I offer a nurturing home from home where children feel safe and welcome. I am inspired by the Montessori theory and the Curiosity Approach (promoting independent learning through free choice within reasonable boundaries).
I have an eight year old of my own. I enjoy having adventures and quality time with him. He is well mannered and funny, curious and brave. He is so much fun to be around and genuinely melts the hearts of people he meets.
My Experience
I have experience in a variety of early years settings all over kidderminster including nurseries and schools.
I left my job of five years at The Wyre Forest Special School, to have my son, where I supported children and young adults with additional needs.
I have since worked in a primary school and within a base where I supported children with additional needs and currently work in an SEN base with KS4 pupils.
My Qualifications
I have ten GCSEs.
Most importantly grade B in English language, literature and mathematics.
A distinction in health and social care and a B in childcare.
I also have a CACHE Level Three Diploma in childcare and education.
I am first aid trained and have experience working b with children from nursery all the way up to sixth form age.
My Availability
I'm available evenings, weekends and school holidays. I have an eight year old of my own. I understand the importance of finding someone you can trust and rely on when it comes to your children. I am happy to have play dates where your children can interact with my little one, or I can watch your child/ren by myself.
