My Experience

Dance Teacher and also Teaching Assistant and Cover Supervisor in a variety of settings, most recently in the Independent Sector in Nursery, Prep and Reception but also experienced with children up to age 18. I have many years of experience in instructing and teaching in the physical activity arena and offer an active lifestyle approach to my Childcare and home visit services. I also use dance, musical movement and drama as part of the 'Learning Experience' with the children I care for , which they love doing.

My Qualifications

Ofsted Registered Childminder, Full Paediatric First Aid Certificate, Safeguarding Certificate, Food Hygiene & Safety Certificate, Full Working Knowledge of EYFS to a high standard, experience gained mainly through Independent Education Sector.
Dance, Fitness and Nutrition Qualifications in addition.

If your child/children are registered with me I am able to offer Emergency Cover, Holiday Cover & Ad-Hoc care.

In Your Home Service;
Minimum 4 hours FROM £16.00 per hour. Price variable depending on days, time and location. Payments in advance & non refundable.

CHILDMINDING FEES: My fees are due WEEKLY in advance in all circumstances (Thursday payments for week following).

I charge a one-off NON REFUNDABLE fee of £79 per child (£39 each for siblings) for the official registration sign-up visit. This happens after we have an initial meet up and a short home visit at my home to look around for an informal discussion & a home visit to your home to give the children a chance to get to know me a little in the security of their own environment. The fee is payable only after a place has been offered and registration visit booked which includes all relevant paperwork in terms of contract, policies and procedures and a 'getting to know the child' document. A £250 deposit is required for each child or 2 weeks fees (whichever is the greater) payable at the same time as the registration visit fee. The deposit payment is held and is refunded upon cessation of contract, only if correct contracted 4 week notice period is given.

Ad Hoc (as & when care) registration fees apply however no deposit is needed as care can only be accommodated if I have a space available for the times you need.

ALL fees are payable in advance. Any additional hours are invoiced weekly and added to the fees for the following week.

I operate a 'Work Fair, Pay Fair' policy and my terms are strictly based on NO FEES = NO CARE in line with my contract with you.

Babysitting terms differ from Childminding terms and have different contracts.

TAX CREDITS;
You may be entitled to help with your childcare fees under the Childcare Element of the Working Tax Credits system when using an Ofsted
or Agency REGISTERED Child Care Service provided outside your home. Entitlements may vary according to financial circumstances. (The most recent information I was given to pass on to prospective parents is 70% of childcare costs funded (but please double check this as circumstances and limits vary and are subject to government changes). Your individual circumstances dictate whether it could apply to you and help with your financing of your necessary childcare.

UNIVERSAL CREDIT; Currently, the system in place pays towards your childcare costs AFTER you have paid your childcare fees and produce fully documented PAID invoices but this is under review so check terms and conditions. The contribution you receive appears to vary and no set or consistent pattern appears to be in operation and a number of individual based stipulations are in operation. 'Work coach' decisions may vary, please check with yours. Most recent information suggests the childcare assistance is 85% funded subject to individual /family limits.

Please note that I do not offer, nor will I provide, any receipts showing PAID if they haven't been.

STUDENT FINANCE;
Help with fees varies and you need to make your own enquiries and make the necessary arrangements. Some students are able to claim and receive up to 85% of their childcare fees paid. I am happy to complete the childcare provider sections of your Student Finance childcare forms. Failure to attend your place of study at the required times results in your childcare payments ceasing and consequently your childcare contract will also terminate. Any subsequent contract would be on a private fee paying basis unless proof of alternative childcare contribution costs entitlement can be provided.

Tax Free Childcare;
This system effectively means that for every £8 you place into the tax free childcare account towards fees, the government then top up your childcare account with an additional £2. I'm registered to receive payments via this Tax Free payment scheme if you wish to set up your account through childcare choices on the government website. All payments take between 3-7 days to be transferred to my account so adherence to payment dates are important to ensure my fees are paid on time and in advance.
