My Summary
About Me
I have been a self employed nanny for 7 years, following 8 years at a nursery working with children ages 2yrs - primary. I reached management level, then left, wanting to get back to having the capacity to actually aid children’s development, rather than simply paper pushing and documenting it!
I’ve worked for many, many families on a permanent regular booking as well as ad hoc basis. I really love to get to know children and their families well and build a great relationship, so that children are able to feel confident and comfortable with me when their trusted carers aren’t around.
I see myself as a really positive, energetic person. I am always happy to accept a challenge and love to experiment with new ideas and fun activities.
I strive to spend as much time as possible outdoors, and am at my happiest when taking children on outdoor adventures across the countryside in all weathers, splashing in puddles and getting muddy. Similarly, I cherish times cosied up indoors reading, playing games or baking. I adore all pets (apart from snakes and spiders!) and happily bring the family dog(s!) on our adventures, as well a making the daily dog walk extra fun with picnics and imaginative twists.
My Experience
My experience includes working with:
-A baby from 3 months
-Triplets from 5 weeks
-3 sets of twins from 12 months as well as twins from 15 months, both to 4 years.
-Many, many school aged children, ranging from 5 years to 15.
-12 months with a young girl with serious depression and anxiety, being home schooled through her GCSE’s.
-Over 15 years experience with babysitting
