About Me
Hi, my name is Donna, I have been an ofsted registered childminder for over 20 years and still love it. I have two grown up children, a grandchild and a very friendly king Charles spaniel called cooper. I have my NVQ level 3 in Childcare. I am full insured, DBS checked and First aid trained. In addition to this I am the vacancy secretary (Sawley area) for the Peace of Mind Childminding group, I organise lots of trips and activities through out the year from trips to the seaside, zoos, farms etc to sports days, teddy bears picnics and nature walks etc...
My Experience
I have been minding for approx 20 years and look after Children from Birth up to 11 years old. I have looked after a child who has seizures for the last 10 years, and another who has food intolerances and allergies. I have received additional training to enable me to deal with these confidently. I am also registered with Derbyshire county council to deliver the 9 month old, 2, 3 and 4 year old funding.
I have looked after children with additional needs and have worked with various agencies to support the child and family including physiotherapists, speach therapist , health visitors and family social workers .
My Qualifications
Registered with Derbyshire County Council to offer government funded childcare ( 15 or 30 hours )
I hold my NVQ Level 3 in Childcare, I am paediatric First aid trained and have attended safeguarding, Food hygiene, working with children with dietary needs / food intolerances, additional Epi pen trained, ECAT ( every child a talker) training and am fully up to date with all other required courses.

During Derbyshire school term time , I work between the hours of 07:15 and 17:30 Hrs Mon to Thurs, I take to and pick up from Sawley Nursery, Infants and Juniors Schools.
During the Derbyshire school holidays , I work most Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.50 per hour
I charge an all inclusive rate of £5.50 per hour, this includes all meals, snacks, activities and trips.

- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Sawley Junior School

My daughter is child-minded by Donna she absolutely loves going, she is treated like part of the family. Throughout COVID-19 she was made to feel extremely safe and well cared for which made the whole experience much easier as a parent. I can’t speak highly enough of the way in which is cared for and the activities she does.
The children go on outings meet up with other childminders and have a lovely community feel.
