Hello,
My name is Emily, 35 years old, living in Ottershaw with my husband and my 2 boys (born March 2016 and July 2019).
I am a Good rated Ofsted registered Childminder with Childcare Qualification, Early Years SENCO qualification, Paediatric first aid training, full driving license and my own car.
I live down a quiet residential road, with a childrens park and green space opposite my front door.
My Experience
After finishing Maternity leave with my eldest, I began work as a Nanny for 7 months, starting when the child was 11 months old, and caring for my son (12 months when started) at the same time. During this time I registered as a childminder with Ofsted.
I hold a level 3 Childcare Qualification, as well as having attended and passed a Childminding Introduction Programme giving me knowledge of child development and the Early Years Foundation Stage (as used in nurseries and schools).
I also have the day to day experience of being a mother of two.
My Qualifications
I hold a level 3 CACHE diploma in Childcare and Education and Early Years Special Education Needs Co-Ordinator qualification.
My Availability

Emily contacted me last year when I was looking for one morning a week childcare, at fairly short notice and she was the best decision I could have made.
Her house always smells of home cooked food, she is passionate about good behaviour and goes out of her way to make the children under her care feel welcomed and comfortable.
Emily is the right balance of being both straight-forward and professional, so you know exactly where you stand with her. She invoices a month ahead and is flexible with date and time changes, where she can accommodate them.
If I drop off my child and he is upset, she follows up immediately with a photo or a message to reassure me he has settled and no longer crying. This is always a massive weight off my mind and means I can relax. Emily distracts my son at the handover point with conversation, cuddles or keeping him busy, which makes the whole transition so much easier.
Emily is honest, reliable and really enjoys working with children. She takes the children under her care to parks, playgrounds, does activities and crafts with them and spends time playing with them. I have been given amazing handmade gifts and there is always a themed week or topical task being done e.g jubilee flags or baking. Even if she only has one child with her for the day, she never fails to go out of her way with ensuring their development and interests are catered for.
I’ve never left my children with anyone I’ve not known first, but my gut instinct with Emily was spot on and anyone who uses her for the care of their kids, is lucky to have her!

My 5 and 7 year old have been going to Emily for a year, and they always tell me how they enjoy their time with her. She has become so integral to our lives, and we are now sending our 3 year old to her
