My Summary
About Me
Mum of 3 and Grandmother of a 17yr old & 8mth old.
I am a methodical hard working individual. I have been told I set high standards for myself. I’m not sure that is entirely true; however I believe that whatever I do, I should do to the best of my ability. I am able to accept constructive feedback and then implement recommendations within my work and working practice. I believe you can never know everything, that you learn something new every day. I am honest and can admit when I am wrong (I may not like it though). I can work under pressure, rarely lose my cool and am an effective team member.
My Experience
I have worked in Health & Social Care for approximately 30+years. During that time, I've had the pleasure of supporting many individuals within a variety of settings.
Since mid 2015 I have been self employed and currently undertake a variety of roles supporting individuals/families in their own homes, including adult social care.
Previously I have supported:
A lively 7yr old with early am care and school drop off, that concluded due to a move from the local area.
A young family with occasional care for their baby (until a full time Nanny was appointed) that family has now expanded to 4 children under 8 and I’m proud to say I still offer support.
Supported a family of 3 with after school pick up and care for a number of years until 2 of the children attended Boarding school.
Over the last 3yrs I've had the pleasure to support a local family with 2 children with afterschool care once a week
My DBS dated 2016 & 2020 are related to voluntary work with charities supporting
1. individuals with complex epilepsy
2. mental health
As of Jan 2025 i will be enjoying the company of my youngest Granddaughter 2 days per week & have been able to reschedule my commitments to complete my week. Hence i currently have no vacancies.
Regards
Martina
