My Experience
Throughout my journey, I have gained valuable experience working with children aged 3 months to 11 years, thanks to my CACHE Level 3 studies. During my two years of training, I completed placements at three primary schools, two preschools, and a nursery.
Coming from a large family, I have also accumulated childcare experience at home. I have been actively involved in the daily routines of my young cousins and nephew. I have cared for them since they were newborns.
Additionally, I have experience in elderly care, which has familiarized me with household domestic duties.
My time in retail has equipped me to handle challenging situations and various behaviours, while my work as a cleaner for a multi-millionaire holiday/event island required maintaining to high standards.
From September 2017 to July 2019, I had the joy of working with a lovely family and their two daughters, aged 11 and 12 (in 2019). My typical week started early, around 7:15 AM, as I prepared breakfast and packed lunches, ensuring everything was set for their day, including school uniforms and bags. The school run commenced at 8:40, which allowed me to return home for a few hours to do cleaning or laundry. On some days, I enjoyed free time or helped their family friends, who had recommended me, with household chores in the village. In the afternoons, I would pick the children up from school around 3:20 PM and occasionally take them to appointments or after-school clubs, emphasizing the need for good organization. My day generally concluded around 6:30 PM. During school holidays, my hours varied greatly, often extending to 10-12 hour days, with the parents providing funds for outings with the girls. Occasionally, I was asked to babysit for a few hours in the evening or to stay overnight.
From September 2019 to August 2021, I worked with another family with children aged 5 and 7 (2019), following a similar structured routine as my previous nannying role, adhering to strict rules and schedules.
With my extensive experience, I believe I would make an excellent babysitter for your child or children.
