Hello, I am a Ofsted registered childminder and currently have spaces. I am a 50 year old mum of 3. I completed my childcare qualifications in 2018 and became a ofsted registered childminder. I had my first graded Ofsted Inspection in July 2021 and received a GOOD grading. Before this I was a carer but I needed something more reliable to fit in with my youngest and it’s definitely the best decision I made.

I live with my husband and have 3 children ages 30, 25 and 14.
My youngest daughter is in Year 10 at St John the Baptist in Woking. All of my children went to St.Dunstans in Woking and I am very familiar with the school and the teachers. (I also went there myself back in the day!!) I have been doing the St.Dunstans school run for 26 years now. I enjoy the friendliness feel of the school and seeing so many smiling faces while I do my job is a perk.
My eldest daughter lives locally with my 12 year old granddaughter who also after being a St.Dunstan pupil now attends St John the Baptist.

We have a pet chihuahua called socks, who might be yappy but is brilliant with the kids and loves attention.
We love to go on long walks with her and luckily we are situated in a perfect place to find new adventures and of course the local park.

I have completed my childcare course with PACEY and am Ofsted Registered.
I also do my paediatric First Aid course every 3 years. All adults in my household are dbs checked.
Concerning school drop offs and pick ups, I take on children that attend St Dunstans as that's where I will be twice a day.
I am only currently taking on before and after school children.

My home is child friendly and I encourage activities as well as child led play. A constant turnaround of different resources to play with and lots of craft and activities that blend in nicely with the events through the yearly calendar. It could be Easter craft or making poppies for Remembrance Day. Always a variety.
I have a playroom especially for the children with a range of toys, gadgets, books and they love to fill the hanging pegs with their art work to decorate their room. They tend to enjoy having the freedom to free play and even enjoy the tidying up ready for the next day. It teaches them responsibilities and independence.
Dog walks and visits to the park are also on our agenda after school, weather permitting. In the summer it can involve the opportunity to feed ducks, swans and if the fields are not too boggy then we can go and look for the local famers cows.
