About Me
Hello parents! My name is Sophie, I'm 33 and I live Woking. I'm a kind, caring, personable and confident person with 17 years' experience in working with young children, from ages 3 months to 8 years in both nursery settings and 7 years as a nanny.
As for my interests, I love Disney films, specifically the earlier animations, having grown up watching them! I'm a Harry Potter fan, I love theatre, a good binge-series. I'm involved in a couple of amatuer drama groups as I have a passion for acting. I also enjoy visiting different countries on holiday and countryside walking.
My Experience
In the past 17 years, I have worked with a variety of children in nurseries, before starting a career as a nanny 6 years ago, working part-time for two different families. I have been working for a family as a nanny Monday to Friday, working in the afternoons since October 2022.
My Qualifications
NVQ Level 2 in Children's Care, Learning and Development.

My Availability
I'm currently available for babysitting Friday evenings from 7.30pm and Saturday evenings from 7pm.
I have been working with a lovely local family since October 2022, 3-6pm Monday-Friday during term time, and 8am-6pm Monday-Friday in the school holidays. My time working with this family came to an end the second to last week of August, so I'm looking to find a new family from September, who shares the same approach and values as I do, so we work really well as a team together, and be a part of your family, bringing up your little ones! I'm looking to work with on a full-time, long-term basis.
My approach in the care I provide is relaxed, mostly spontaneous where possible inbetween specified times parts of the day (considering any nap times and meals times) and planning as and when it's better to. When managing children's behaviour, the approach I naturally use is firm and fair. Instilling manners, confidence, fun and respect of boundaries is important to me, and I believe this is how children thrive the most. Being part of providing an emotionally and physically safe environment for children is my priority.
Happy to do a little batch cooking for your children, giving them freshly frozen meals, as well as on the go, and lunches/dinners during adventures out, so that my time working with you is most spent on playing with your little ones, and giving them all the love, care and focus they deserve, as much as possible! Also happy to put children's washing on, and tidy up after your children, while encouraging them to help to tidy up too.
