My Summary
About Me
My name is Kim. I have 15 years experience in childcare and became an Ofsted Registered Childminder in 2017, graded Good on my first inspection in January 2020.
I consider it a privilege to work in the childcare profession and I am passionate about supporting children in all areas of their development. I provide a calm, caring, welcoming and stimulating home from home environment and I build a close attachment with the children and their families.
I live in Motspur Park in a spacious house with a large garden. My home has a good sized playroom with a variety of toys and resources for the children to enjoy. These are rotated regularly to ensure they are fully engaging for the children’s current interests as well as their age and stage of development. The garden also has a good selection of play equipment and resources.
The children are treated like a member of the family and although we have a playroom, children have access to other rooms on the ground floor including the kitchen and open-planned dining and reception room which leads onto the garden.
We are very fortunate to live in a community with lots of amenities. The children and I enjoy our outings to the local parks, library (for story and music sessions), soft-play, toddler groups, visits to the local pet shop and garden centre, as well as meeting up with local childminders for play dates with the children. Outings and activities are planned to meet children’s developmental needs, any festivals/topics we may be covering, and are in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Parents are sent photographs of their child’s day via WhatsApp (which they look forward to receiving).
I look forward to welcoming you to our setting.
