About Me
Hi I'm sally, I'm newly registered with OFSTED as a childminder and a member of PACEY. I have 3 grown up children of my own and 2 step children as well as 6 beautiful grandchildren. I was previously a childminder when my own children were young giving me a grand total of 33 years childcare experience . I live on the edge of Houghton Regis and own a spacious 3 bedroom property with a good sized garden, and a park and playing field 2 minutes walk away. I offer a caring home from home environment whilst adhering to the EYFS framework . Child led play and free choice are encouraged as well as adult led activities, and attend activity sessions within the local children's neighbourhood centre and local library.
I offer full and part time care for children and drop off and collection from Thomas Whitehead primary school .
My Experience
I have 33 years experience in raising my own children, I currently care for my 5 year old granddaughter after school and school holidays and worked for 8 years as a childminder when my children were young, covering all ages
My Qualifications
I have Cache level 3 award in Home based childcare, safeguarding awareness in many areas , Food hygiene level 2, Paediatric first aid .I will always keep my training up to date .
My Availability
I'm available from 7.00am to 7.00pm Monday to Friday, however special circumstances can be catered for upon request.

My Fees
- Childminding from £5.25 per hour
I charge £5.25per hour for childcare .Breakfast, lunch and/or a hot evening meal can be provided upon request for an additional £2.00 per meal .Special outings will be arranged e.g. soft play parks/zoo etc , details and prices will be supplied in advance .

- I provide drop offs and pick ups at Thomas Whitehead CofE Academy

Sally been looking after my boy since he was 4 ,her level of care for our son is excellent and will not hesitate to recommend Sally as a great, reliable and committed childminder. We would say she is one of the best.

How the last 4 years have flown.
I have been using Sally for just over a year and a half now. As a mother to a miracle daughter I was very nervous about leaving her. I went to visit Sally to discuss our requirements and to see the surroundings. I needn’t have been nervous at all. Sally was very understanding of my nerves being a first time mum, she never made me feel silly about any questions I had. Everything was so clean and friendly and well organised. My daughter loves going to Sally’s I get updates during the day as to what activities she is doing which is lovely to see. My daughter has learnt so much from being with Sally. She has tried lots of new foods that I would never have thought about giving my daughter. She loves taking the other children to school and often talks about them. It’s lovely to know she is so happy.

I have been using Sally as my child minder for over a year now and can honestly say I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving my daughter with anyone else. She provides a lovely caring and fun environment and has never let me down. My daughter loves going with Sally and they have a great vapour together. Would highly recommend!!!!!
