About Me

Welcome to Little Learners Wickersley, Early Years Education! Established in 2018, as an Ofsted registered childminder with a home from home feel for your children to develop their curiosity and spark their imagination.

I ensure that your child’s creativity and needs are met daily ensuring that they have the freedom with how they learn. This includes different age groups coming together to develop their socialising skills and the ability to learn from each other to further develop their knowledge and readiness which will help with their transition into mainstream school.

I specialise in ages 0-4 years old. I follow the same learning curriculum (Early Years Foundation Stage) as any other childcare setting whilst tracking your child’s development. With limited spaces available throughout the day this allows me to ensure each child in my care receives sufficient attention and thoroughly identify any gaps in their learning.
I base my planning on each child’s individual needs and interests therefore each activity is planned based on your child’s next steps in their learning journey.

I am committed to providing a nurturing environment and aim to make children feel relaxed and happy whilst in my care.

I provide a range of stimulating outings including- visits to the park, libraries, music groups, farms, wildlife parks and other outside spaces.

My setting

I provide our Little Learners with a homely environment based in a log cabin which is open plan leading directly onto the private garden area. The cabin has a covered outdoor area for the children’s mud kitchen/ messy play.

One of the best things about being a home-from-home setting is that we can snuggle up on the sofa together, take turns picking stories and share our thoughts from the days activities.

My setting provides calming and tranquil spaces, that also offers neutral colours, natural materials, cosy places for children to sit and look at books or engage in deep learning. My enabling environment is full of authentic sustainable resources as well as loose parts provoking stimulation and excitement as well as providing opportunities for children to explore.
