This Job is called: Personal Assistant (PA)/Young Persons Support Worker

Hours to work: Flexible
Pay: £11.44 per hour

We are a local family and live in Frampton Cotterell. Myself and my husband have x3 teenage boys of which our two younger sons have Autism with additional needs and learning difficulties.

We are seeking candidates with a genuine desire to assist us and our boys to improve the lives of the people around them and make an impact for our family. To promote their personal and social development, encourage independence and support their communication.

Our current team of PA's (support workers) assist us with various different times of the day and evening throughout the week and weekends. We are looking for another person to join us, primarily to assist us during the weekends. Your job will be to support our boys as a 1-1, either helping to look after them at home or sometimes visiting places they may want to go (walks, swimming, day outs etc..)

Approximately 12 hours per week. The hours and times will be flexible and varied to suit daily agendas. There will also be additional opportunities to support us on evenings, during half terms & Holidays, and potentially during term time weekdays from 4pm onwards.

Swimming, The Park, Going for walks on the golf course, driving range, The Beach, Body Boarding, Trampolines, Watching Disney Pixar Films,I Pad, Writing & Drawing
We will be looking for the successful candidate to have the following:

Experience of care support, Autism and associated behaviours is preferred
Capable of working independently and also with our other PA's.
Makaton and Picture Exchange communication are used within the home so some knowledge of this would be ideal.
You must be reliable and punctual and confidential with our information.
Ideally you need to have a Driving Licence and your own car.
We would like our Personal Assistant to have a good sense of humour, be confident, outgoing and happy.
Appointment will be subject to Enhanced DBS Check
Job Type: Part-time

Salary: £10.82 per hour

Expected hours: 6 – 12 per week
