About Us
Established in 1985, we are a nurturing, small pre-school (maximum 24 children) nestled next to the park in Willaston, open 7.30am to 5.30pm Mon to Fri of term time, and can offer flexibility to match your family's needs including optional hot home-cooked lunch. We have dedicated, highly experienced teaching staff, who diligently care for our children who are aged from 2 to 4 years old. Any hours can be funded. We can cater for changing shift patterns for keyworkers. We also welcome unfunded children in return for modest fees. We are not affiliated to any primary school or religion. We offer large spacious play areas, with a great emphasis on outdoor play for creativity, learning and fitness.

Our Fees
- Childcare from £17.95 per morning
- Childcare from £17.95 per afternoon
- Childcare from £35.90 per day
- Childcare from £179.50 per week
From September 2025:
- £5.95 per hour (£4.76 if using tax-free childcare)
- Hot lunch option £3 per day (£1.50 for disadvantaged 2 years olds and EYPP).
We also charge 45p for the children’s snack and other consumables (free for disadvantaged 2 year olds and EYPP).

Willaston Preschool has a special place in our hearts, our two children are flourishing here. Each and every member of staff here go above and beyond to enable the children to thrive. The wonderful ladies at preschool have such a gift of being able to recognise each child’s individual strengths, abilities, needs and being able to build on that and give children the confidence they need to grow. The difference I have seen in my eldest from starting preschool to entering his last year before school is absolutely incredible - I wholeheartedly believe that what has been sown into him at this setting is a huge part of the reason he has advanced in his learning and confidence as much as he has. Both our boys look forward to each day here and have so much fun. I am so so grateful to everyone at preschool and will certainly shed a tear when my eldest progresses to big school. This really is a special place ❤️

My 2.5 year old was struggling in nursery and we were looking for other options and I am so thankful we found Willaston. As soon as we looked round I knew it was perfect for my little girl. There is lots of space so the children are not on top of each other, there is a big outside space and they are outside every day. There is lots of different toys, games and equipment outside it is such a lovely space.
Every day there are different activities set up, sensory play, painting, play doh and so many different activities. I love that there is a big focus on preparation for school, not just the academic side but the soft skills and independence e.g. at lunchtime.
The staff are fantastic and so caring and passionate about the children and they are consistent which means they really get to know the children. My little girl settled in so well and has gone from crying hysterically at her nursey drop off to running in to pre-school and having to catch her to say bye. She gets so excited for Pre-School days and I thank my lucky stars I found this perfect place.

I would highly recommend Willaston Preschool. My son, Joshua, who is now in Primary Year 1, attended the preschool from the age of 2.5 years.
He was really happy here and settled quickly into the preschool. The staff are fantastic and Josh love them. I cried when he left to go to school as he was so happy and settled here. Saying this he was more than ready for primary school and I firmly believe this was thanks to preschool.
My daughter, Sofia who is 2.5 recently started at the preschool and I couldn’t be happier, once again she has settled really quickly and loves the staff (who thankfully are the same!)
