My Requirements

We are looking for a lovely nanny to help look after our 4 children ages 12 (girl), 9 (boy), 6.5 (boy), and 3 (girl).

35-40 hours per week*; M-F.

We are looking for someone who is kind, organised but not rigid, loving, unflappable, patient, firm but gentle, and non-judgmental.

Mix of sole and shared charge: needs to be able to work as a team
(mom works from home; housekeeper comes every day for all cleaning and housekeeping duties.)

Responsibilities:

All nanny duties including:
school runs
helping plan and prepare snacks and meals
keeping children’s clothes and toys organized
help with homework
help plan activities over school holidays


PA duties include:
keeping track of all inventory needs for house
grocery shopping and stocking other needs for house (online and in shops)
small errands as needed (eg tailor etc)

We have a separate housekeeper who comes every day and does all the cleaning as well as the children’s laundry and ironing but we are looking for a candidate who is okay to help out as needed. (for example, doing the dishes and sweeping the kitchen floor after a meal etc if the housekeeper is out sick.)

Candidates should:
have at least 2-3 years experience working full-time as a nanny, caring for at least 2 children, within the last 3 years
be nonjudgmental, warm and unflappable
speak excellent English
know how to motivate children and gain their respect without being overly harsh or dogmatic
have a university degree or an equivalent that would make them confident in helping with homework
be capable of walking 15-20 minutes to school and shops
be able to travel
have two references available to speak on the phone upon request

*We are interested in either an after-school nanny or if someone would like more hours with pleasure if she is a confident cook who is willing/able to cook for the whole family whilst the children are in school.
