About Me
I have been an Early Years/Primary teacher for 25 years and have been a nanny in London since Oct 2017. I am kind, calm and unflappable and I love my job.
I have recently relocated to Glasgow and I am looking for work in childcare, as a nanny, babysitter etc. Will consider full-time, part time, permanent and temporary work, as well as travelling nanny and holiday nanny jobs.
Would also be interested in governessing/tutoring, and helping families with home educating/unschooling/
deschooling.
My Experience
I hold a current enhanced DBS certificate and also the Scottish PVG. I have a current 12-hour Paedeatric First Aid certificate, renewed in March 2024. I have been a teacher (including special needs) since 1996. I have been a nanny since 2017 and have 3xcellent checkable references.
I am caring, kind and patient. I love the company of children and am good at thinking of fun and educational activities. I love the outdoors and am happy to play football etc. even though middle-aged lady! Good at managing behaviour with empathy, and at helping children to manage their feelings. I have enjoyed working within neurodivergent families.
My Qualifications
Bachelor of Education (Hons) degree. Teaching experience over 25 years with a range of SEN.
12 hour Paedeatric First Aid certificate.
DBS (England) and PVG (Scotland).
Nanny since 2017.
My Availability
Will consider full time, part time, temporary and permanent work. Also available for ad hoc days, and for babysitting, tutoring etc.
