My Summary
About Me
My name is Virginia and I have been in childcare since 2005. Since graduating from The Chiltern college I have been a full time nanny.
I am recently married and live in Brentwood with my three beautiful Dacshunds. As well a childcare I love to be outside in the fresh air I also love to cook and I also really enjoy music.
My Experience
June 2018 to Date
Sole charge nanny for twin girls aged 1 year at start.
My role with this family at the very beginning was to help provide a stable environment for the girls whilst the family moved from London to their new home in Essex. Once the family had settled, I then went on to establish a good routine and plan of activities for the girls including music classes, play dates and educational walks.
Once the girls became older it was then very important that I adapted their routines to each child to help them grow as individuals. I would also plan activities and classes that would be beneficial to each girl and I also planned 121 time each week when the parents worked from home so that again they could recognise their individuality.
In my time with them it was also important that I prepare them for going to nursery by potty training and helping them to dress themselves.
I was also required to perform nursery duties including washing and ironing, cleaning their playroom and bedrooms and providing tasty and nutritious meals and snacks.
January 2017 to June 2018
Temporary roles for Town & Country Nannies, including boy twins aged 18 months, and a family of three children aged 2years to 10 years.
My duties were to quickly establish a rapport with each family, especially the children and ensure that routines were maintained and that the children continued on their learning journeys. Good nutritious meals always cooked from scratch and nursery duties, such as the children’s washing and bed linen changed. Importantly, to see that the children had a balanced day with plenty of outdoor fun, too.
October 2016 to January 2017
Private Family
Sole charge nanny for boy 2.5 years at the start.
My role with this little boy has been to provide a structured week with plenty of outdoor activities and active play together with play dates as he is a very active child. I have also been responsible for preparing and introducing him to nursery and I am now preparing him to start school in January with learning through play including numbers and letters and helping him to dress himself.
I was also required to complete nursery duties including all of the child’s laundry and ironing and cleaning his bedroom and nursery. I also provide nutritional balanced meals for him and evening meals for the family.
