About Me

I am a qualified Montessori Teacher with a level 4 diploma in Montessori pedagogy, birth to seven, early years educator from Montessori Centre International and full DBS clearance to work with children.
I have over 3 years experience as a private after school tutor to primary school children for two families and during the holidays I give the children art classes, along with tutoring and consolidating the years learning.
After over 3 years the two children from the family I have worked with, both personally and via zoom (taking over the school day and tutoring) during the pandemic, have managed to get into a fabulous new school starting in September. They are willing to keep me on until the end of the year by way of thanks and to give me a chance to find another lovely family to work for, but I am free to start in September if required.
I currently pick the children up from their respective schools/clubs in my car. I take them home and assist with their homework and consolidation tutoring on any subjects that they need extra help with. I can also arrange play dates and cook them an evening meal and await their parent/s return from work. I have excellent references from two families that I have worked for, for several years.
I am English, originally from Berkshire and I attended an all girls boarding school from 7 to 18 years before further education in art, I then worked in the fashion industry for 20 years before retraining to become a teacher. I am a competent tutor up to the 11+ and have aided the children with preparation for their; 7+, 8+, 10+ and 11+ examinations.
