I am an experienced Ofsted registered childminder based in Skelton. I pride myself in my 'home from home', nurturing setting with many outdoor adventure opportunities. I have a degree in Early Years and Curriculum studies and have recently completed my Early Years Professional Qualification. I provide a calm 'hygge' setting where children can explore and develop at their own pace. I take a blended approach to my curriculum encompassing various approaches (hygge, Montessori, forest approach, and the curiosity approach). My curriculum puts the child's interests at the heart of it and is focused around play and outdoor exploration.
I provide home-cooked meals for all of the children, working alongside you to provide the best nutritional diet for your child. Children regularly enjoy time in the local community attending Little Explorers toddler groups, and library singing/story times. There are also lots of opportunities for visits to parks, museums, and woodland/beach adventures.
I share information with parents regularly regarding children's development and progress/concerns through daily diaries, newsletters, termly progress reports, and the two-year-old progress check.
My Experience
I have a BTEC National Diploma in Nursery Nursery and a BA (HONS) Degree in Early Childhood Studies and Curriculum Studies I have completed the local childminding course. I am fully OFSTED registered and have a current First -Aid, Food Hygiene and Environmental Health certificates. I also keep updated with my safeguarding training and have recently completed my Early Years Professional Qualification alongside a Hygge qualification.
