About Me

I am a qualified teacher who took time off to have my children and discovered a love of planning activities in the home.

I spent 4 years teaching Reception and Year 1 children and learnt a lot about how children learn and how play is so important for children’s development.

We are lucky enough to be within walking distance of woods and Salisbury Plains and we spend a lot of our time looking at nature and getting lots of exercise through the freedom of running through the woods. We also go to toddler music, soft play, Butterfly World and the park. Story time takes place every day and the children get to choose their own stories from the library.

My Experience

I have brought up my own 3 boys, one of whom has a food intolerance. I have a range of behaviour strategies that I can use and we have lots of rewards for making good choices. I taught Early Years in a school for 4 years before retraining as a childminder. Since then I have looked after a range of children from tiny babies up to Year 6.

I keep my numbers fairly small to make sure I can give each child the time they deserve.
