About Me
My name is Charlotte, I'm 28 and live near Cramlington. I have Level 3 and Level 5 early years qualifications, I work in a local preschool for children aged 9 months-4 years and I have extensive knowledge and understanding on child development, with a passion for continuous learning and research. I love displaying and developing my own creativity through arts and crafts (mostly clay work), and this helps to bring out the children's own creativity. I also have SEND qualifications and work as the SENCo in my nursery, giving me lots of knowledge and experience of supporting children with SEND.
My Experience
I have been working with young children for around 5 years when I began my Level 3 in Childcare and Education. I completed this with an A* and with 600+ hours in placement working with young children in a variety of settings. I developed many skills such as planning and implementing a variety of activities for 0-5 years, planning for children's individual needs and their next steps. I am now working as an early years educator and am soon starting the final year of my degree. I have experience of supporting children with complex additional needs, as well as with children who display challenging behaviours. Within my setting, I have implemented successful support strategies to support young children's social-emotional wellbeing and development. This is an area in which I have a significant interest in researching further and developing my own skills within.

Level 3 in Childcare and Education, Level 5 in Children and Young People, Child Protection and Safeguarding, Paediatric First Aid, Food Hygiene, Level 2 in Understanding Autism, Level 2 in Understanding Children and Young People's Mental Health.
Level 3 SENCO in the Early Years, Level 4 Neuroscience in the Early Years.
