My Experience

I am friendly and approachable, with a kind, compassionate, and gentle nature. Through my work with children and young adults, I am used to treating children with kindness and respect, while ensuring they tidy, eat healthily, complete homework and also treat each other with the same kindness and respect.

I had a great relationship with the last children I nannied for, they always had fun and I resolved any issues peacefully, respectfully and with sensitivity.

In my role with the children I looked after previously (ages 3-8), I collected them from school and nursery, played and engaged them in educational and fun activities, helped and encouraged them to complete their homework, prepared varied lunches and dinners, and made sure they ate a healthy, balanced diet, got them ready for after-school activities, helped them to tidy, bathed them and got them ready for bed, and ensured their emotional and physical well-being was always cared for. I also looked after two other older children of 10 and 15 over the past few years, and worked as a stand-in for other nannies on occasion.

I recently worked as an outdoor playworker at Baltic Street Adventure playground. I am creative, active and love nature, and am happy to do activities with the children that they are interested in and take them on days out when required / during holidays.

Some of the art education workshops I hosted were with groups with special learning needs so I have some experience with children and adults who have different learning requirements. I also have high-functioning autism, so I relate to children who have different sensory sensitivities, and know different activities which would be calming or engaging for them, and how to navigate situations more easily, which may be otherwise overwhelming.

BA (Hons) - Photographic Electronic Media, Gray's School of Art - 2010

Currently Studying a BSc in Environmental Science - Open University with tutorials at Strathclyde University, and I am an ambassador for the Royal Meteorological Society, and a member of the Scottish Ecological Design Association and the British Ecological Society.

I have hosted creative workshops with cultural and environmental organisations around Scotland over the past few years with children and people of all ages, in partnership with Culture for Climate Scotland and the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), with organisations such as Scottish Oceans Institute, Cove Park, OnFife,, Lyth Arts, Sea Watch Foundation, Dandelion, Strathclyde University, New Glasgow Society, and previously hosted workshops with Glasgow Sculpture Studios, Young People's Futures, Impact Arts, The Concrete Playground, The Imaginarium, Possilbilities, and Scottish Sculpture Workshop.

My Availability

I am currently available and looking for a part-time position or nanny-share. I am available from morning - evening on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. I can do school or nursery runs in the morning (I don't drive but I can walk the children to school or take public transport.) I also have flexible availability every second weekend for nannying/babysitting care.

My Fees

• Nannying from £16.00 per hour (net)
• Babysitting from £16.00 per hour
