About Me
Hello! My name is Gina Edwards, I am an Ofsted registered childminder. I left a busy job as a buyer to spend more time with my own family and set up Little Adventurers in 2017.
I live with my two sons. We have two lovely cats called Star and Mrs Christmas, and a tortoise called Elvis. We live in sunny Leigh On Sea in a spacious home with a garden.
I am extremely passionate about caring for children and learning through play.
I love to explore the outdoors with the little ones, we often grow things in the garden and go on lots of outings. I am ideally located very close to Chalkwell Park and a short walk to the beach.
I am from a creative background originally and make use of lots of different medias and really enjoy making lots of art and crafts with the children.
I also do lots of messy play activities around my weekly themes and enjoy baking with the children too.
I provide home cooked healthy meals.
I run a small setting where each children's individual needs and interests are valued and nurtured.
I returned to work after both of my boys were born, so I understand how it feels to leave your child in someone else’s care. I will work with parents closely to reassure you every step of the way.
My aim is to provide your child with an environment that will be safe and caring but also really fun and stimulating!

I am Ofsted registered
• I am a registered member of PACEY (Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years)
• CACHE level 3 – Preparing to work in home-based childcare, PACEY
• Paediatric First Aid Course
• Safeguarding children Level 1 & 2 – Southend Council
• Hygiene and food safety City & Guides level 2
• Fire safety in the home
I am constantly researching and training, inspired by the individual needs and interests of the children currently in my setting.
I have recently trained in Schemas, Sensory Play, Characteristics of Effective Learning.
My Availability
I currently have no availability for preschool age children but do have some availability for Chalkwell Schools before and after school care
