About Me
I am 32 years old. I am a qualified teacher, specialising in teaching the Early Years (0-8 years old); I finished my degree; gaining a first class honours. I also have been trained to teach phonics using Read Write Inc phonics.
I consider myself as a fun, determined and caring person who enjoys working with children and seeing that they get the best out of everything they do.
I also enjoy both doing things indoors and outdoors that help provide children with a variety of experiences.
My Experience
Over the summer of 2011 I was a mothers help, looking after a 2 year old and 1 year old weekly.
I have previously nannied for 2 children, 2 years old and 8 years old.
During several summers I worked for a holiday camp surrounding the fringes of London. This was an amazing experience. My position on camp was the Early Years Coordinator, I looked after children from 3-7 yrs old. Although, there were children up to 16 year old on camp. I organised a range of fun, creative and sporty activities each week, which all the children enjoyed.
I am a qualified teacher, in my current role for 10 years, teaching full time in London. I specialised in teaching the Early Years (0-5 year olds). I have
taught in Reception and Nursery (3-5 year olds) where I ran and developed an Early Years department, insuring every child both had a smooth transition into our school and through bbboth Nursery and Reception .
During this time I led phonics for the lower end of school. This was from Nursery to Year 2.
My Qualifications
I've done 10 GCSE's with grades from a C-A* and I've done 2 Alevels and an AS. I have also been a young guide leader and done things like the Duke of edinburgh awards and various other extra curricular activities.
I have a degree in teaching, specialising in Early Years. I also have a NPQML.
I have received training for the Read Write Inc phonics scheme.
My Availability
Are you looking for a little booster session before your child starts Reception in September, or some additional support to help your child in Reception with their current phones development.
I currently have availability for weekdays sessions. Please contact me for information on times.
I would suggest an initial session with your child to see their phonetical development and suggest steps from their to help them reach their potential.
