My Summary
About Me
I'm a lively and colourful individual, sense of humour is a must, I have frown up in a big family with lots of children, who most have their own now, so I'm a second cousin/aunty to 25 and more on the way! I've relocated so I don't get to see them as much so I'm looking for a new start in Essex doing the things I love.
My hobbies include my little dogs, crafts, visting places of interest (lots of new places to visit here) and going to festivals/car shows.
My Experience
I have moved to Essex in recent years, I was working in a warehouse but feel like, after 6 years, I need a change.
I have had many previous experiences working with children, 2019 I was a nanny for 3 children ages 9,3 and a new born which sadly ended during lockdown.
In 2013-2015 I started babysitting children at festivals which led me to become a live-in nanny, in Devon, looking after 3 children ages 7,4 and 3 which included working with children with special needs, unfortunately due to relocation I had to give up the job.
Before that my previous job was working in a soft play area for children, my tasks were to simply watch over the children as they played and I also helped out with birthday parties which included singing and playing games with the party.
Whilst at school myself, (many years ago) I did work experience working on a children’s farm where I helped take schools round the farm, played games sang songs etc. On occasion I helped out at a nursery school on bank holidays and during study leave, on week day evenings I helped out at Cubs and Rainbows. Finishing at school, I started an apprenticeship as a classroom assistant working with reception and years 1,2 and 6 but sadly due to funds I had to leave.
While doing other unrelated work, I helped out at children’s parties doing party games, face painting and crafts such as t-shirt painting, glass painting and jewellery parties, and during school holidays I helped my mother doing craft activity workshops at youth centres and youth groups ageing from 5-16years.
I have also helped out at after school clubs, again doing crafts and games with the children, which I sometimes still take part in as well as doing children’s activities at varies car shows and festivals.I have also previously been on a community task force course, with the job centre, which put me in a placement at a primary school in Erdington Birmingham where I was a classroom assistant.
I quite enjoy working with children, I find it very rewarding, but unfortunately I have no formal qualifications so have found it hard to get back into doing something I liked, but as stated I have a lot of experience.
My Qualifications
No qualifications but over 15 years experience working with children
Am willing to get a CRB and under go any training needed
My Availability
I am available every day at the moment, and some weekends, including evenings (ideal if you need some grownup time) I'm also open to dog walking if needed!
