About Us

I am an honest, hardworking individual and I am able to work using my initiative with an aim of solving problems and completing tasks with the best possible outcome. I am able to work as a part of a team and I am also able to work independently as an individual.

I have a good sense of loyalty and I am also reliable and trustworthy. I am flexible, energetic, and keen and I have good communication skills. I am a calm, friendly, outgoing person and this helps in my roles in an early year’s environment and in the gym where I work with children and parents. It allows me to communicate well with different people of different ages and with different ideas and views about things. I am very polite and I am a good listener, skills that are needed when working with members of the public. I endeavour to treat people equally and fairly and try to encourage an inclusive environment wherever I work.

My current position is an early year’s head of Toddler room Practitioner In a Nursery in Welwyn Garden City . I oversee staff, parents and children, making sure everyone is happy, safe and having fun. Within my role my responsibilities include staff training, health & safety, programme planning, food prep, children’s day logs and portfolios (key worker), parent liaison, hand overs and development reviews.

Education and achievements

-I have worked in many different Nursery, age between couple weeks old to year 1. I have also done many different babysitting jobs.

-I have achieved a level 3 qualification in Childhood studies at Oakland’s College. I completed this course in June 2016.

-I have achieved a Level 2 qualification in Childhood Studies and I am currently working towards a Level 3 qualification.

I have successfully completed work experience in 5 different settings including nurseries with small babies and primary schools and after school clubs. I have completed a total of 750 hours (2015/16) of work experience. I have also worked in 4 Nursery and been a gymnastic coach for children age couple weeks old to age 16. During my course I have learned about working as a professional in an early years setting and I am familiar with the Early Years Foundation Stage and other resources that are available for planning and supporting children who attend an early years setting. I am aware of the need to provide an enabling environment that will fully support the learning development of all the children.
