About Me
I have been an ofsted registered Childminder for 13 years, based in Yardley. I live with my husband and our two children aged 17 & 12 years.
I aim to provide a home from home environment using play to promote the EYFS. We spend most mornings out at playgroups, parks, soft play, exploring the local environment and meeting up with other childminders. I also offer before and after school care from St Bernadette's School in south yardley.
My Experience
I have been registered as a Childminder for 13 years. Prior to that I worked in a day nursery for 8 years where I started as a level 2 student and worked my way up to be acting manager.
My Qualifications
I hold a level 2 & 3 early years & education NVQ,
A1 Asessors award,
Cache level 3 diploma in Home based childcare,
Level 2 paediatric first aid (every 3 years)
Safeguarding and DSL training (every 2 years)
Child Protection advanced level 3
Level 2 Food safety,
Level 2 health & safety,
I keep up to date with my professional development by attending courses and online training .
My Availability
May have availability from September 2023. Monday - Thursday from 7.30am until 5.00pm.

I was so unsure about a childminder for my son but it was the best decision I ever made.
Amanda is brilliant with the children and my son & daughter loved going to her. They always had so much fun with her and still does in the school holidays. She’s an amazing cook - my son & daughters words. And I couldn’t recommend an amazing childminder for my children. Knowing your children are happy while your working is a rare find and when I found Amanda I felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulders as my children love her :) always updates me with photos of the children and just puts you at ease while your working.
Really recommend! Can’t fault her service at all!

Before I had my daughter I never in a million years could have anticipated how hard going back to work and finding childcare for her would be. That was of course until I found Amanda,she was the only one I felt happy and confident leaving the most precious thing in my life with. Ayla was six months old when I returned back to work and leaving my baby became a reality, I would be lying if I said it was easy but it was the hardest few weeks of my life, lots of tears on my behalf but not one from my baby she loved being at Amanda’s and still does three years later, I now have to drag her away and get pushed out of the door in the morning! Amanda is so easy to talk to nothing is ever a problem she just takes it all in her stride. She always makes time for any worries or concerns, and her love and care for the children is lovely! Amanda’s home is every child’s dream there is everything they could want, it is also impeccably clean! Children and parents are always made to feel very welcome by Amanda and her lovely family! Sending Ayla to Amanda has been the best choice I have ever made, Ayla is confident and advanced with her new teacher even commenting on her knowledge and understanding at her school induction and a lot of that truly is thanks to Amanda! Amanda has become a friend to me and more importantly a very special person in Ayla’s life. So if you’re looking for a childminder who gives a 110% to the children in her care then you have found her. She truly is one in a million. We are devastated that Ayla is off to start school in September and won’t be with Amanda each day.

Amanda truly is an amazing childminder my two girls never want to come home , Amanda mange’s to make a home from home environment for all the children in her care which is obviously to see when you visit. My children ask to go even when I’m at home.
Choosing a childminder is a tough job you need someone for whom childcare is not 'just a job' but really their vocation, who will care for your children as if they are their own and Amanda does all of this and more.
