About Me

I am a registered childminder, (Manda Tots Childcare) and work with a full time assistant.
I am 41 years old, and have two young boys, a 13 year old and an 6 year old.
I can offer half days, full days, funded spaces for 2-5 year olds and non funded spaces for 0-3 years.
I encourage child led play and my aim is to help them to grow up feeling loved, safe and respected so that they can realise their full potential. Each child has their own individual reports and photo books.
We do lots of visits out to the local parks and further afield, farm parks, castles, museums etc.
I Live in Cumbernauld Village and have a fully enclosed back garden with fully covered pergola areas which include a mud kitchen, easel, music teepee, ball run, water trough etc. We love to get out and about in all weathers with lots of outdoor activities. I plan lots of different crafts and activities each week, we enjoy messy play and use lots of loose parts. I like to give the children a "home from home" feel.
I use Online Learning Journals so you can see your childs development and observations.
I have an assistant who works with me full time which gives more 1:1 care and learning for the children.
I gained three 5s in my care inspectorate inspection.
My Experience
I registered in 2018 and have had children in my care from 8 weeks old to 11 years old. I have a lot of experience in looking after children, with raising my own 2 children as well as caring for children in my family and for friends.
My Qualifications
I have Completed the following courses:
An Induction to Childminding
Paediatric First Aid
Food Hygiene Level 2
Child Protection Level 2
Promoting Positive Behaviour Level 2
Preventing Bullying Level 2
HIV, Hepatitis B and C Infections SVQF Level 5
I have completed my SVQ level 7 Social services children and young people
I am constantly working to keep my skills and knowledge up to date.
My Availability
We currently have spaces available from August for 0-5years old.
I can offer childcare for a 0-12 year old, 8-5.00 (times out with these can be discussed).

Amanda has my 7 year old son before and after school and he just loves going there! The range of activites Amanda provides are perfect for Danyl e.g. slime and also lots of educational activities. Amanda provides a very warm and welcoming environment for the children and she treats Danyl like part of her family! Highly recommend!

Amanda has cared for my 3 year old boy since March and I cannot praise her enough. She has made the process of starting with a different childminder very smooth for us all and he felt instantly comfortable in her setting after our first visit. She is very caring, supportive and keeps me involved in everything Harrison is doing that day. My wee one gets excited when he knows he’s going to Amanda’s and has made a great little bond with Amanda’s 2 boys. Amanda does a great range of activities with the kids and he is always shattered when he gets home which makes bed time that bit easier! Cannot sing her praises enough!
