About Me
I am a qualified Primary and Early years teacher with over 20 years experience in SEND Education. I can offer 1:1 learning support tailored to meet the individual needs of your child. I devise personalised learning programmes with effective, targeted strategies and engaging, practical activities using children's interests and motivations to make the learning fun. Although I specialise in SEND education, I am experienced in teaching English and Maths and can provide extra support for children in Early Years or Key Stage 1 to help them reach their school targets.
My Experience
I have 20 years teaching experience within Early Years and primary school settings and have worked with children with a wide range of Special Educational Needs including Autism. I managed the Early Years provision in a Special Needs school for 10 years and achieved two concurrent outstanding judgments from Ofsted for the quality of education provided and for the learning outcomes of the children in my classes.
My Qualifications
I have a PGCE in Primary Education, a BA Hons degree in Textile Design and A Levels in Art, English and Psychology. I have undertaken continuous professional development, building on my knowledge and skills through regular training and courses, in the field of SEND and Early Years education.
